See and I feel that the new coin-based ranked rewards system opens up the possibility that it could be an additional way for people to earn ranked coins to unlock more cosmetics at the end of the season, then just make amethyst for top 500 in this mode to keep ruby to cashout.

As far as balance changes go; you can't give it everything but I agree with some changes.

Give it back manual revives and defibs, and a limited coin revive system that resets at half time swap.

As far as health, it is meant to be meaningful when you take damage, and they did a good job of bring back regen, I think they just need to up those values a bit more.

the reason I said healing over respawns, is because even with a good healer, a better aimer can just shut it down fast, so if you were to isolate a healer or just anybody before they can regen, then you can very easily turn the tides and have a person (and support) over them
honestly, just having a much slower regen after half health would solve your problem of damage mattering(like healing barrel slow, so if you're low, you gotta play incredibly safe)
plus, it would allow for the gamemode to not affect the rest of the balancing

The issue is beyond the mode, and it was proven in the fact that the community liked Terminal when it first released in season 2. It showed that it inherently was an enjoyed mode by the masses.

a bit more consistent way of doing it is to sprint forward, jump, hit crouch toggle once midair, and when you hit the ground, turn to the direction you need to look after you start sliding
