Lights are basically one of those classes that have a skill ceiling but for two different paths. You can be a single menace with it, or be a team player, really at the end of the day, if light hears "Hes tapped 25% heath" They should be on clean up duty and scout around point, damage a few players, rotate to team, and cycle through that. H infuser and play loose, but close. Alot of players just outright die in terrible spots bc of a low health pool, and it ends up dragging a team down, whereas a good light, is slaying kinda, swoops in, prevents steals and res's/

I have around 90 hours of gameplay (played 95% with them as light), but I feel like people should push as light in a very few situations. I mostly play in solo q, and a lot of lights that I've played with just dash into enemies and get instantly beamed because of the low HP, while I see that good lights usually stick with their team and mainly play as support

Light is in a weird spot because 99% of the players you'll ever encounter suck with it, but some people are a stubborn as hell and get really good.
It's not realistically possible to get that good at light unless you sink thousands of hours into the game, but if they buff the class for people who don't spend that much time in game the ones who do will be unstoppable.

Nah basic coordination shouldn't take thousands of hours, but on light you need to figure out where you can go for flanks on each objective of each map, then you have to be able to move around fast enough to juke opponents while still aiming well enough to make up for the ttk difference between classes.

That's a tough question, I'm coming from s0, and I've been hooked since, so for me, it's always been fun, but my skill has been able to evolve with the game and other players. Coming in on later seasons is definitely a steeper learning curve. Just get used to all the game mechanics first. The amount of people who don't use canisters or other in game mechanics is baffling.
