I am sledge main since s5, just had a match where the cashout building was falling off the edge of the map.

I realized this of course too late, only when I looked out the window of the building and saw the abyss approaching.

Somehow, I managed to jump on all of the broken obstacles, including one nicely placed piece of debris that was the only thing between me and death. Made it back to the surface before the building disappeared, felt so good

When all else fails, I slam down on them and get to business with the hammer. This build has won me many matches, and many times I’ve used it to solo entire enemy teams cause my team leaves or is dog lol

Thats only half true. A game can be fun to play but not addictive therefore not dragging and keeping in players. Playercount only really represents how well a game is marketed and how accessible it is and has actual bearing in its quality and ow2 is far more accessible than the finals aswell as blizzard having much better marketing than embark

Lockbolt technically does this but since it doesnt completely restrict your movement it enables you to still hold enough control that you can maneouver around to make fights feel fair even when locked

Meanwhile in the finals CC are way more impactful because instead of being a usual part of the gameplay CC is like a wrench thrown into a mechanism there.

Some of this applies to the finals here, but it's way shittier in the finals.
You are way slower to help your winched teammate with a dome shield because of all the switching and throwing times. You are way restricted with healing opportunities here. Glitch lasts way longer than silence in ow. AND IM NOT SAYING THAT THE FINALS SHOULD BECOME LIKE OW here. NO. It's a DIFFERENT GAME.
But saying shit like "Ow is fundamentally dysfunctional because there's CC there" which is literally not a problem RN for people who actually play the game, is just plain wrong when OW's gameplay allows you to negate CCs effects pretty easily

Youre misrepresenting my first point, studies have factually shown that taking away control from the player is not fun for the vast, vast majority of players, regardless of wether you can recover it or not
Also all of those do apply to the finals aswell and genuinely in a much better flow than in ow
You can dash or move after winching now (yes it still needs a rework)
You can play safe until the glitch effect goes away
You can plant down an APS to deal with goolocking (yes it still needs to be removed)
Once again not nearly as many effects as there are in OW and much more flexible when it comes to playing around these effects
