I feel like once you hit diamond, each team gets to ban a map, then it selects one from the remaining. Go from bottom seed, up to top seed for bans.

We have 11 total maps, so with 8 team tournaments, it'll have a 3 map pool decision at the end.

Each team only gets 10 seconds to ban a map before their ban is voided, and it takes 2/3 of the players to confirm a vote, if no majority is made, then it randomizes from the votes given spread between the 3 players.

Makes Diamond+ more competitive, removes unwanted maps, showcases to Embark the issue maps, and shows a meta of the maps that are most common.

Tournaments have bans, so why not ranked at the top level?

It'll add 10seconds per team, so 80 seconds to the start of the game, but worth it for the balancing and change of pace for upper levels.

The thing is, The Finals, everything that makes it unique, is exactly what brought fresh air to the genre of Search and Destroy. The things that make The Finals unique aren't found in the other games. CS2, slow and items locked behind money each round. Valorant, Slow and hero shooter. R6, hero shooter, and limited destruction.

The Finals was something that allowed true player freedom, in a fast paced environment, to a tried and true gamemode that is enjoyed by the masses.

I agree with some of that, but look from a wider lens. Yes, TA needed some tweaks. But so has Cashout.. for 9 seasons. TA only got attention for half of 1. If TA had been around all this time, with balances and changes each season too, we'd probably see a lot better version of TA that would be enjoyed by many. The mode as a concept had a place and would work.
