Grapple is better then dash 9/10 times imo it's great for combat , travel and escape plus with sword dash is pretty useless considering you can move faster and farther with the lunge on its own then a regular dash + lunge if you get the timing right on inputs

the skill floor for dagger is probably the highest out of all weapons, even if it was more viable
Also to use dagger effectively you need to know how to already position, rotate and flank, just to be able to do something with it
And to go positive w/ it you need mechanical skill, ability to bait out the back sometimes, and opposing team to not know how to avoid exposing their back to you accidentally and not have a smidgeon of awareness about your position, and them being somewhat deaf also

I don't think I've ever played a launcher player who didn't automatically swap to a meta loadout the second they died, and quit when that didn't work.
That seems to be the match-by-match noobstomp pipeline tbh, those weapons attract bad players and they can't handle the realization that the better weapons actually take skill when it hits them.

I feel like there's a clear hierarchy between noobstomp weapons, some of them just require opponents who are not great and others need opponents without monitors to dominate. CL40 can drop 20 bombs with no effort as long as your opponents aren't hitting 90% headshot accuracy, but you have to sweat really hard to go 15-1 on dagger for some reason. 90% of the player base plays well enough to stomp on dagger but launchers can be a free win most of the time for me
