How to get Aim assist on Mouse and Keyboard
A small guide by me, Mskd.

1. Get a hall effect keyboard
2. go into the software and configure WASD for Left stick up, down, left and right
3. enable the profile
4. in game, your keyboard will now be recognised as a controller, and you mouse will now have magnetic aim when you hover over an opponent

Oh, well then I agreed at first because M does have good attributes but they tend to get overwhelmed quickly. But let’s be real that’s only because L is so busted it warps how every other class performs. Fix Light, and Medium’s value actually shows. So yeah, not a Medium issue. It’s a Light problem in disguise. The only use I find in M at the moment is being a healer and if you're not doing that its typicall game over.

It's like a smoothness feeling thing, but visually it doesn't look too different.

FPS and Refresh Rate.
I think the FPS determines the latency and feel, while the refresh rate is literally how many times the screen redraws each frame.

You can still benefit from a higher FPS that you can't see because it's rendering your input each frame (I think).

It probably doesn't matter a lot past 80Hz/80fps tbh, like it's reasonable, but it still feels way better to run at 144Hz+ and 144fps+.

what I'm suggesting is a weapon that leans into the cool shit the finals has to offer more, weapons that are effective in their niche. flamethrower for example is really good at taking out groups of enemies and especially lights, but in a 1v1 fight you aren't winning with it against a standard weapon. if you can plan you play around the weapon its effective but you cant just mindlessly use it. if you nerf the cl40 damage but crank up the radius to where it used to be you can use it for the niche of taking out groups, but in a 1v1 you are going to have to fight HARD to win, thus making it more teamplay focused (like the flamethrower)

honestly most of my complaints against riot is that it feels almost impossible to get away from them fast enough and to shoot them. they chase chase chase and it's hard to even really turn around and get them. but to a degree, that is the point of the weapon. I just think it should move a teensy tad bit slower when swinging, or maybe reduce it's lunge distance

if you just run away, it may not work because a riot shield user's job is to run at enemies, and they know how to cut distance.

But if you equip items that impede them (anti gravity, vortex, goo, jumppad, barricades, glitch trap to kill their demat etc, you'll be winning more and more fights with them

To add another bit (as the cooldown is atrocious) - a big reason why a riot will catch up to you is because they know what path you took before you did (space wise). If you turn left or right, they can just take the direct path to you, reducing distance. And surprise, medium has a perfect spec for doing just that - dematting walls in a building

IIRC Rob said they want to rebuild the barricades as they're in a bad shape. It'll take some time but they said they want to make them better and it requires redoing how they function.

i really dont mind the fact that it blocks bullets and isnt something completely useless. i get it, the point is to keep soaking up bullets by time to stall and anything like that. still, counterplay is just not completely fitted. the more that i think about it, im still gonna lean on chip damage. doesnt nerf its protection fully, doesnt give the shield a limited lifetime usage as a disposable.

maybe like through stages of each life or each time they coin the durability can reduce under each damage threshold. It goes from fully blocking, to reducing damage, to reducing damage less, and then another less than that.

it makes it so that the person using the riot shield would have to be more thoughtful. rather than running around indefinitely soaking up bullets, running out of gas and fire, skipping over mines and corner baiting people

tbh I don't think people spamming block is the issue people have with riot. it's that they can't be shot while they chase and smack you. any riot who is too greedy with the block will get those tootsies shot to hell. it's their ability to gun for you and close distance, and then be too close to turn back and shoot at. they are the kings of closing distance, and if they do that, they win.

i think i like the difference between riot and dual blades. I think they're both solid, balanced weapons... Although, I think they have a few glaring flaws both. best guns currently for heavy is SA1216 and SHAK-50, SA1216 is used more than the shak as when paired with the winch you will have a guaranteed kill, as with shak you can do long range rights and have high constant damage, specialization thats used by good players are shak or mesh shield, but everyone is starting to use the winch since everyone is always doing close range fights now and cashout manipulation, gadgets that are good are RPG, DOME, and C4, c4 for stalling on cashout, rpg for damage starter, and dome for having a higher survivability as heavy and protecting teammates on cashout when stealing etc
