everyone says "ooh I want this and this and this in a FPS game but I know there will NEVER be a game that will have all of that", and they unintentionally miss the fact that THE FINALS has ALL OF IT, and when they see the trailers, they think it looks too good to be true, "this can't be actual gameplay, no way, no cinematic trailer EVER shows actual gameplay", so they end up skipping the game

THE FINALS is so fast paced even the most basic of things can require a lot of inputs to execute actions the fastest
we're talking:
open a door, close it to block gunfire, take a flashbang, underhand throw it, open the door right as the flashbang is about to go in, close the door for flash protection, let the flashbang do its thing, slam the door open, shoot the enemy you just blinded

all in less than three seconds
and this is like, the least fast paced "basic action" moment in the game, hell, it's almost like micro-stalling

THE FINALS is relatively simple on the base level, but not as simple as more traditional shooters
the more you learn, the more complicated it gets, and you can make your gameplay as simple or complicated as you want (though sometimes other players force you to get along with them making things complex for you all of a sudden)
especially if you do door flashbang PvP like I do

the problem is, they took a charge off of it because situationally those barrels are better than summoning an RPG out of thin air. glitch barrels DEVASTATE lights and heavies while healing cannisters make healing orb go 40% more brrrr or heal beam 25% more brrrrr.

Dome can't save me from falling off a map, can't build me a bridge between two points, can't stop a bounce/jump pad, block a zip line at a distance or up close, can't block a doorway, can't build me a quick way up, can't provide a solid wall that can soak up damage long enough for a steal, can't trap someone/hinder movement.

Dome can let me shoot through a fragile wall that can save / win fights.
