Given the Per Deliver is == 1 this seems like it's actually a broken formula in the background to determine personal contribution

If 14000 is 163 contrib then I'd need to donate 14000 a total of 86 times to get 14000 contribution. 14000 x 86 is 1.2 million which is the total goal for the house.

So 1 player has to do the entire house goal to get the top personal reward

Have you tested the no decay in the rift over time? During my test, the structure started decaying even though I built so deep inside the rift that I was watersealed just standing there. Sorry, I skipped the part where you show the decay, my bad.

FYI, structures above 800 elevation do not take storm damage and do not decay. If you use a standard subfief console, you can store your stuff forever.

You can't build there, unfortunately. But, the mountain next to Helius Gate is buildable, as is the one next to Mysa Tarill.

There are also many cliffs/mountains north of the map above 800 elevation that is buildable.

The hard stuck PvE players hate it, but ultimately have come to understand its bound to happen. + i run a trading guild so people trade with me to get stuff back that they've lost. (Im very profitable)
On top of the fact that, because of the community server, if someone has issues, they tend to bicker in there until satisfied.
I dont moderate fights because it'd kill the community server and its good to let people get frustrations out

I realized I have no need for all those things. I found a scrap buggy, tooled around in for a while and then absolutely let it continue to decay. I'm not one of those that needs all the gear, all the tools, many of which I won't ever use. Herbert's beautiful and complicated story turned into cutting rocks, then cut different rocks to get to the next 'area', rinse repeat. Absolutely don't feel the need. Making the game my own thing, and if I don't ever have an assault thopter, who cares? A carrier? NOPE. My server is dead anyway. I've seen my 4th player since I started with the Early Access edition. ALL bases decaying. Nope. Nada. Just gonna do my own thing in game.

solo here too, but the game is way more fun when you have all good stuff... I've been contracted as a mercenary to defend spice farming, called to run the buried stations in DD, paid in melange... also farming BPs tp sell (made more than 2mil just selling), landsraad stuff to get better gear... even if the server is dead now, maybe with dlcs and changes coming you might see more players... and will be ready when needed. No problem keeping it simple, but the fun lies in tier 6. Eventually you will automate all stuff, and farming alu, plast and spice will be more productive and less time consuming. Have fun buddy!

How my 'base' base started, but slowly progresses into two units wide. Not interested in a massive base like I see decaying all over because all that opulence isn't my thing, but more of a neo-brutalist complex of smaller buildings on two different levels. Tried my hand at the staking unit, and it is pretty simple. Right hand side is private apartments and offices in isometric view snapshot, left side is industry with enough room for all the main stuff + should I ever get over not feeling the need for massive spice refining, a building just for that. Even built a wind turbine, though I am frugal with what I keep running, so only using it when I want to fire up the ore refinery + whatever. Has duo bike barns on opposite sides of this island of rock between open desert and the Shield Wall. A thopter pad too for the future, but I also always store my vehicles so just for temporary hanging out and repairs.

They won't give forever bases as a thing, because the whole point of decaying bases is to ease server load.... as people disappear from the game, new people can join that server... if you never removed bases you'd wind up with manhatten instead of hagga basin

I never said they need to add forever bases. What they DO need to change is how we store our stuff when we need to step away from the game for more than ~30 days. The currently available mechanic (Assault storage, Scout in VBT, personal Inventory + Bank) won't hold everything which forces players to either do the grind all over again when they come back or NEVER leave for more than ~30 days which is impractical in today's world when everyone is finding it harder to just get by in life, often working many more hours than even 10 yrs ago, multiple jobs, etc.

(only the intro is in german) But tbh most people don't seem to be even attempting to use the bank and letting everything rot when they leave anyway. But tbh it's really not hard to turn up 1 day in 30 to keep the lights running... and its not even 30 days... a plastone base lasts ages. I've waited for enough of them to decay to know lol.
