How much replayability is there to raiding?
And does 4 man content remain relevant toward lategame, or does it fall by the wayside in favour of 8 or 24 man raids?

4-man dungeon gear is always just catchup gear.
Also, 24-man raids only have one difficulty, it's not difficult or anything, and it doesn't give BiS gear
The main raiding content is all 8-man
BiS gear is always a mix of Savage raid gear and capped tomestone gear
Capped tomestones are something you get by doing just about anything at endgame, but you can only get a set amount per week
you also need to upgrade said capped tomestone gear with upgrade items from Savage raids
which become available through other means later in the tier
Also some find this very little, but we only get four 10~ minute fights per tier, and tiers last around 7 months
We also sometimes get one Ultimate raid halfway through a tier which are 16min+ boss gauntlets with extremely unforgiving mechanics and only cosmetic rewards

Four 10 minute long boss fights per tier is fine, as long as there's an incentive to reclear it through the tier rather than just clearing it once and being done with it

nope, there's only really not-that-hard-overall savage and hard af ultimate that can take months of prog for competent groups
rarely cause it's content for just the top 1-2% really, so it's not very high priority unfortunately

should I leave it off before tank swap? or should I leave it on most fight but give tank a buffer
If the fight has a mechanic that targets the 2nd highest person on the enmity list then you generally want to leave the stance on
Though if you do proper swaps with shirk you generally don’t ever need to take your stance off
i just keep it off until tank buster cast starts
then its tank stance > provoke which seems to work
I just do it after my opener somewhere if I do not need to be 2nd aggro for anything
Its also dependent on gear difference. If you're ot and you outgear mt you could rip aggro off them by accident just by doing more damage than them

4231 is for dps for betwixt world. You have the four things at north that tether to dps. The number refers to the order that dps go with their tether--dps with the far right tether (4th) goes to the northwest. Then 2 and 3 go straight down the lanes in the center, And the person with the far left tether (1st) takes it to the northeast
braindead refers to the unjoined aspect + portals mechanic later in the fight. Instead of spreading out to not overlap AoEs during that mechanic, you can instead stack everyone with the same color together with a bit of mitigation, so you only have to deal with two squares

Normal mode fights you easily 1-shot blind, savage fights usually take multiple hours to learn, some even days depending on the group
if you haven't done extremes yet, try those first
What's a good way to get into endgame content? I always reach this point in MMOs where I can never find a FC/Guild or become part of a static group. It's a real bummer.

thats going to impact the more casual people trying to get clears compared to your typical ex/sav/ult raid groups or seasoned PF EX clearers. its just that there's no way to weed out players outside of gear level, though i have 490+ gear and havent completed an EX without echo and havent cleared savage, so one person with low output can ruin 4-5 experienced raid players

and it does about 30k on me

so i had the extra defense
so yea it kinda hit

20x damage from 1500ish to 30k-ish, but 7k-ish would be 140k-ish, at 120k-ish? 16-17% difference, dunno about all the other calculation differences behind the scenes

Shiva was a 2 day prog, then clear for me when i did it 1st time but my current static is struggling extremely hard. I wanna know if its worth to keep trying and later go for ultimates with them

Ultimates are quite a bit harder but like the gap between E8S and UWU rn isn't worlds away
Difficulty is pretty hard to quantify but I'll go back to the old standard estimate of ~30 hours for a week 1 savage group to clear the tier and 60~100 hours for a fresh group to clear an ultimate
That's with savage having a much tougher dps check so mechanically ultimates are quite a bit more demanding
well we're 10h into shiva and got past adds once
that is... not a good sign

and i use my 3 lilies at both flares and stacks
after bahamuts i completely stop healing
and go full dps mode

if i say that extra buster coming
and thhe tank should mitigate the adds correctly right
i met alot of tanks who dont use cds at add autos
and end up with 5 digit hp at buster
so i have bene rdy in case
in my experience tanks drop fast maybe because they're not mitigating it
other healers should have easier time to heal adds
than whm
since most their aoe heals are cds
and easier time healing tanks with almost no gcd healing
lily is a damage gcd with an aoe heal attached
its still 100 potency loss per usage
well sch needs to use ruin ii which is 60 potency loss to weave in ogcd heals
can weave when you reapply dot
so u dont lose as much
since u want to dot both adds

i'm not sure if it's technically MT or just whichever direction she happens to be facing at time of snapshot (which would be where the MT was)

The dps check isn't awful, but coordination on pugs can reduce overall dps
And things like lack of rotational knowledge

there's a lot of different sources, for most of leveling the main scenario quests give a lot of gear good enough to progress, starting at 50 you're able to get a "allagan tomes of poetics" currency from doing level 50 (or non-leveling 50/60/70) content and buy better leveling gear from vendors with that currency, quest rewards or dungeon drops for 51-59 again, poetics for lvl 60, quests/dungeons 61-69, poetics for 70, quests/dungeons 71-79, and at 80 there's separate currencies meant for endgame obtained from level 80 content, one is unlimited for ok-ish gear, one's weekly capped for higher item level gear, plus gear drops from different endgame raids, dungeons, weapons from extreme trials

- Different jobs will be in peaks and troughs of their burst windows

- SSS is not accurately tuned for the jobs they are supposed to represent in most cases
- 3 minutes is short enough to be able to be affected by lucky DH Crit bursts

But I get confused on the order of technical and that skill, which goes first, I’m worried that if I do the self and dance partner crit buff first it won’t boost the technical step when it initially hits
standard at -15s, finish at 0, tech at 1s, finish, flourish, gcd, devilment+fd3 -> press glowing buttons and everything on cooldown

yeah pretty much, though double regen is fine too for most casual content, its just the shields that overwrite each other so you don't want a noct+sch
and in 4man just use whatever you want, though regens are a bit more value over the shields afaik
regens are way higher potency because all else being equal getting healed before the damage happens is much stronger than getting healed 20 seconds later
most ppl will go noct if there's a whm but it's usually not actually efficient unless you need to to prevent people from getting oneshot

Yep that's the general suggestion, makes it cozy. For reference as well, as far as BLM is concerned. For betwixt I believe you get a poly stack like, just before then, so you can use that to make it easier to turn.
During adds phase try to situate yourself so you're on the correct side of the add to keep hitting it without having to turn to line up the teleport--like if the teleport is directly behind you, you want to be situated directly in front of it facing it, kind of thing. I think you might also happen to get a xeno right before that resolves too? But that one's easier to manage, regardless @olive hearth

So I have a question for whms who have cleared or atleast passed add phase of e7s. I am wondering what is the the best way to heal during that phase. Since it is a lot of moving I am just wondering what others have done to heal effectively

the first stack on adds has more time after it
so you can do stuff like place aslyum down on the safespot
to heal up without having to worry about the 2nd stack
3rd stack comes quicker than the 2nd so you do something like confession > lily
if you have all 4 people in the stack people will be left with like ca 40k hp or something
you can actually barely survive with 3 if everyone is full
the stack afterwards you usually shouldnt see but if you do theres more than enough time
sticking with the mob doesnt do anything
also protip you can dot all 3 adds for more movement
more than recommended actually

e8s however is by far the most difficult fight in the tier
so I wouldn't recommend jumping straight into e8s

e5s is not a bad place to start
it has a really long, lenient burn phase before the enrage
so if you can make it through the mechanics, have decent dps, and did not fall behind too far, you can usually burn Ramuh down there
7s isn't as bad as the game makes it out to be. A lot of the mechanics are trivialized by understanding where to stand, no colour processing is needed or portal understanding
