you have to face back to the boss when you have like idk 0.7s or so of the cast left for me and even then it still gets interrupted a lot

There's a plugin you can get that shows your percentile on the overlay
but iirc you have to update it stupid often
and numbers are pretty useless until the kill is done

just find a reliable static and keep progging with them, it's not really a community thing, there's a lot of different strats for most mechanics so keeping the same 8 people for all of prog is gonna be the smoothest

just make sure you get people with the same end goal, cause a lot of people will probably stop alex prog for new savage, so if you want to just prog alex then find a group that won't bail when savage comes out

If you're dirt poor and have no crafters or rich benefactors, then farming Eden normal for crappy blue 450 pieces as filler for better gear is fine
E1-3S don't have stringent requirements on your gear as long as you stably do dps, especially when other better geared players are in your raid, but you're having trouble outputting dps then better gear makes up for that.
Since savage is uncapped now, farming the comparatively easier E1S for a full right side and belt is a good idea, then same for E2S for the left side sans weapon, etc.
So as usual, the priority is the 470 weapon if you have no expectations of clearing E4S anytime soon, which luckily can be done solely through farming normal E4 or grabbing the encrypted from E2S, trading 1k red tomes, and exchanging nier coin for weapon solvent.

the eden raid series is unlock in the crystarium, the 24man raid is unlocked in tomra, kholusia (requires a side quest to unlock)
you can get 450 gear from eden normal mode
430 is your artifact gear, which you can purchase from grenoldt. accessories being from the ||amourout||, twinning and anyder

Yeah, it was easier haha. You just sent the melee to run along the sides with the ranged. Zero uptime for them, but zero chance of getting clipped by an AoE while trying to keep uptime baiting them around the boss.
Not that it was difficult to avoid the AoEs normally but it's still a factor completely removed with the JP strat which placed them completely out of anyone's way.
