Endgame is great I’d you enjoy wild shit
what is this a strat of
First one looks like t9s, second is a4s, third one is a12s I think, fourth one is UWU
it looks kinda like void of repentance puddles + communion puddles for the 3rd one yeah
though we did it a bit differently
I distinctly remember the 1, 2, 3 soak 4 that I did there
The fourth one is definitely UWU.
Lmfao
this mechanic is so easy can we do p2 instead of wiping to numbers we know how to dooo
you know the hardest mechanic in TEA are the slow ass Embolus orbs
you've basically cleared already
the hardest mechanic is pushing LL at a bad time so you have embolus orbs up while you're doing limit cut
wait, do they not actually disappear
lemme grab a clip, which also has something else fun happen too, sec
also fun emoblus related clip that this reminded me of https://clips.twitch.tv/ManlyHelpfulGiraffeDatSheffy
superb game tbh
no
wish we could get to chakram memes
idk I say our LL is consistent
but limit cut
idk why
furthest we got was double enurmation
can defintely say
bj+cc phase is easier than transition
yes
its almost same movement everytime
i dont need to see their cast
i already memorized timeline
limit cut is easy now
i almost never fuck it up
til i get paired as red with slowpoke blue
then i just choose how to die
get cleaved and dashed or get hawked
cleave party
I think limit cut might almost take as long to prog through as the entirety of LL for my group
ikr
I mean we know what to do
but ppl just run to random side consistently
for osme reason
yeh idk lmao
one guy made a trigger to tell him exactly where to go based on what number he gets
and he still gets turned around
how
Too much moving your camera around and not enough paying attention to the minimap means is very easy to get turned around right before or right after a chain of mechanics
Happened to be from time to time
Certain things mitigate or prevent it outright. For example, it's impossible to get turned around on O5S, but perfectly possible on something like TEA where the stage is just a circle with a minimally distinguishable bg
Back when I was raiding, I was on MNK. There were a lot of times where, while I knew the mechanics, I'd end up heading to the wrong spot because I notice the markers after I start adjusting for the mechanic
I just find north, remind myself of where 12/56 go and adjust based on what number I get
Nearly everything I do until something is on full farm is reaction, not prediction lol
I'm thinking where north is and where 1256 goes before we even kill LL
Yeah, I don't think ahead like that. I mean, I do, to an extent, but most of it is, as I said, reaction to what's happening lol
raid awareness
I hope y'all like commas lol
The way I learn fights and process them is basically in individual chunks. For example, I knew first and second Forsaken before I even reached G.Kef. So, I know what needs to be done, but I don't prep for it ahead of time. I just wait for it and then when it appears, I do whatever I'm supposed to. I guess that might be normal and I just suck at explaining it?
The biggest issue for people going to the wrong side is often forgetting to take a conscious effort to realign/reorient yourself looking back north after killing LL, instead of treating where you end up as north.
That being said, an interesting consideration too is just doing everyone on one side, if people are going to be bad with going to the correct side even with triggers. It's not really bad at all to take care of it all on one side, it's basically the same thing as doing it on two sides. Of course it shouldn't be an issue either way and it's something frustrating that they really should be better with, but yeah
my favorite mechanic in the game is now nisi
scaring people with erratic movement is too much fun
too bad cheese strat was what 99% of groups did
so nisi there was an afterthought
but with intended strategies it made some healing checks very risky
TEA nisi is notouching.mp4
since a big damage tick could happen right when raidwide damage did
Does Endgame start at max level? Or is there things i can do while leveling to get a jump on it?
pretty much starts at max level, yes.
the most you can do, besides stuff like unlocking your job actions from class quests, is having a set of level 80 crafted gear waiting for you.
What do i do at endgame
Glamour
Or extreme primals possibly get into savage raiding. Find good map groups and make money.
If you’re interested in hardcore endgame, gear up, extreme primals, savage raiding, ultimate raiding
ultimate proggers
Hey let's do p2 practice! @glossy musk
Lmao
3 of us can't login
😔 🔫
Download the limit break program and play that with friends
Wait, has the last boss of Twinning always had the same music as the first phase of TEA?
Yes
Okay, must've only noticed it now. 🤷♂️
its a live band cover of the main boss theme of alexander raids
thanos dies
wrong endgame
Do the books in savage also in the weekly lockout?
yup, they're still weekly
what about the blade?
still weekly
does that only apply to savage? because I rolled on the bangle and armor of early antiquity but i still got both
can someone explain the difference between hand of prayer/parting damage or mechanic-wise?
if boss and hand are far when the mechanic triggers, you force hand of prayer. To resolve this you have to have hand and boss close
if boss and hand are close when mechanic triggers, you force hand of parting, where you have to spread them when the mechanic resolves
damage-wise it doesn't matter, it's just the movement
so basically having the tanks move in together first, bait parting, then move them apart, or do the opposite of everything?
yeah
I'm a bit biased towards baiting hand of prayer, even though parting is more popular
man my friend's static is a big ol' dumdum then.
since you drag hand a bit away on spawn, then when it starts glowing you gap close to boss and they just stay together
and boss + hand are close before adds and emboli spawn

easier to understand wormhole
that's actually very nice
https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1198303831055990784/pu/vid/1280x720/iVKq90cH_SutTqgL.mp4
think that's the updated version but dunno, could be biased but sfia's looks easier
this one's based on wormhole positioning more than sfia's, maybe that's why
instead of robots
Gonna leave this here.
same as last two
people dropped out on nael and people dropped out on titan, now people drop out on limit cut/nisi, nothing new
do any of the guides for savage content call out when to use Feint and addle?
no
at most, they'll say to use a tank invuln on something
there's some spreadsheets out there that list out mitigation that you could use
like for e1s i know you can use Feint on Spear of Paradise, Mana Slice and auto attacks and Addle on Fragor Maximus and Vice of Vanity.
Mitigation spreadsheets usually have possible feint usage
uhh I don't have eden one in hand rn lemme checkl
there's actually a sheet for addle usage specifically
@fickle shell
thank you very much!
thanks for checking all. At least i know what to start searching for as well
for reference on the addle sheet, we actually have it pinned over in the caster resources channel on the balance. I'd imagine when a new tier comes out for savage it'll be updated as well with addle recommendations for the new fights. Feint often has a bit less use since most raidwides/busters are magic instead of physical, so feint often gets used to cover annoyingly timed autos or the occasional physical-based attack--generally not as big a deal as addle
whats endgame like in this game? worth?
worth
Do you like practicing for approximately 100 hours to complete a single 18 minute fight? Then do we have the endgame for youuuuu
it's around 100 hours for an average group
So Ive read everywhere that you shouldnt use too many macros for GCD spells.
Does that mean I shouldnt use mouseover macros as a healer?`
Mouseover is fine
many people use mouseover
the problem is people macroing rotations
So... do mouseover macros delay the GCD aswell?
they won't delay if you spam them lol
They can very slightly but you are also saving time clicking party frames
So it’s kind of a yes and no
It’s a lot less of a problem than macroing say Fire
macroing a 123 rotation is a no go
mouseover or specific target macros for skills like intervention or cards
is perfectly fine
Yeah
If you macro OGCDs just make sure the macro spams it or you hit the shit out of it
So it’ll go off
My OGCD macros are like 8 lines of using it
I just spam it and hope it goes off early enough that I can double weave
Mine are like
/macroerror off
/ability
/ability
/ability
/ability
/ability
/ability
/micon ability
And that helps?
It’ll attempt the ability multiple times until it works (and then fail the rest because CD)
Alright ty ^^
No problem
Is there any way the smn rotation is supposed to go
Or what I wanna know is
Is there any way to keep 100% dot uptime without hardcasting them
This is the updated one you might wanna update the command
Courtesy of elevation i think...?
mhm
thought they'd update it themselves from the balance end, since they did last time

Clip of paprikashery Playing FINAL FANTASY XIV Online - Clipped by BlackmoreKnight
this is pretty gross honestly
It's basically DBM like wtf
this shouldn't be allowed
@foggy latch who needs tea when i can grind e3s logs for boredom
lol
wtb a static that does tea more than 3 times a week
you are aware that's it's basically just nicely packaged triggernometry right @untold oyster
it's literally telling you what to do lol
triggers are fully trig triggers, you can do visual text overlays with trig too but cactbot just makes it easier
it doesn't actually bring anything new to what triggers can and can't do
are you saying you can do visual text overlays with triggernometry too or the default trigger thing in act?
you can do that with triggernometry
yeah i don't like triggernometry either
i feel like plugins like that are unnecessary
so hate on trig, not cactbot
they do the same thing lol
I don't respect people as raiders that use things like that honestly
it's so unnecessary
everyone uses triggers for ultimate
it's unfortunate that things are that way
That's what happens when you put semi-rng mechanics 15mins into the fight
If i don't end up clearing ultimate that's fine. I'll be happy knowing I didn't have to rely on those plugnis
Every sane person will use them
meh, what's the difference between doing a mechanic when you see a picture vs when you hear a sound
like sub 1% of raiders will clear ultimates no matter what triggernometry tells them to do
as in, a limit cut number vs limit cut callout
Because fights are about learning lol. The numbers that appear over your head during limit cut look weird and it's up to you to be able to read it fast enough to get into the right position
you still have to learn the fights
I know that
you can go do tea with triggers and do limit cut on first pull :)
my group's on limit cut right now
oh that edit
i misunderstood what you meant lol
yeh im too tired to proofread what I type
it's an unnecessary crutch either way
you shouldn't have to rely on something like taht
You don't have to
Our scholar isn't using trigger for limit cut, he knows it's preferable to do so but doesn't want to
He will for later phases to cus fuck wiping at 15mins cus brainfart
No one in my group is using a trigger for limit cut
They probably are but cus ur so outwardly against them, theyre afraid to admit to using them :)
I don't really badmouth triggers to my group lol
I don't think they know i dont like em
I still doubt none of them are
also have you even watched the clip you linked
there's so much information thrown at you it's more of a bother than help
it's a very often reoccurring issue with the cactbot fight files
If it’s a bother then why are they using it?
cause they're the main dev i'm pretty sure lol
but still, almost no way to actually customize the premade fight files that get dumped into your cactbot with every patch
means you'll get cactbot spamming you with info about a strat you might not even be using
Sacrament - go diagonal
personal fave from seiryu after transition: "pop sprint"
actual cactbot callout btw
I mean
😔
sure I guess?
Cactbot smh
personally my favorite triggers are the one i can use to blow someone's ears up
see: all nael quotes
technically you could just make every tankbuster have a trigger like "provoke, use invuln"
but why tho
Ive not done old ultimates yet, I'll get to them after Tea I think
that's an amazing clip
Lol
triggers break every patch day so
yeah for like 3 minutes
I really hope they manage to break all triggers somehow
If ACT must be sacrificed, so be it
parse shaming i440 plebes in my dungeons
yeh
Don’t need a trigger

one of the two
in clock sides
tbh e2s is only good because it's a dummy fight and you can scare the shit out of someone with cleaver
tips to get top 100:
crit more
get optimal kill time
now that my drk is above 450 ilvl i should try getting more parses for it
both my drk parses for e1s i died in em

top15 rdps is 97% adps
cus samurai
xd
if samurai was ninja and pressing trick attack it would be 99 easily
good metric
both metrics suck
in rdps, all i need to do is not lose a usage of an ability to be comparable to other parses
which means i can drift the fuck out of my abilities, but im still good if i don't lose a usage
at the end of the day
if you lose sleep over your percentile in a fight you need to go outside more
its just numbers
in adps, i gain an advantage with raid buff jobs inherently
but it can also accurately reflect me pressing certain buttons within a certain window of time
I got a bunch of historical 98/99s that are barely orange now but my whologs looks good and that's really all that matters

ignore the gnb logs
what ilvl do you have?
bis
Just do tank uptime stuff without asking party consent
uhh
even with unoptimal strats you can get purple
i wanna try to get purple in e3/e4
is unoptimal even a word
you can get oranges in pugs doing normal tactics
With bad strats you can orange if you have good rng/killtime
im not going to bust my ass doing it tho so
Most uptime strats are only 1 or 2 gcds
if you don't try then you wont get a good parse lol
Parsing is just aids uptime/rng/killtime grind that has no real purpose
as a melee fighter like warrior you have to try to keep uptime as much as possible
like uhhhh
shit im starting to realize that i don't really know how tanks move in these fights lol
That's why I stopped chasing parses after getting some nice numbers for my historicals
for e3s, low numbers are usually cus you aren't adjusting to maelstrom timings
idk how it's for war, but gnb and pld change rotations just to get certain CDs before maelstrom
war is pretty much the same old war
for nin i just hit buttons without thinking about it
war/drk won't get an extra ir/delirium before mael
You could maybe do them first gcd but pretty sure that would be a bigger loss especially because you'd probably get the same uses over the whole fight
you can hold 90 minutes post mael 1 for the 2 minute buff window
as,
you aren't losing any uses
90 minutes?
90 seconds
fuck english
we ff11 now
garbage ass language
pld is just maiming the basic rotation in every fight so you can end phases on atonement tbh
maiming?
Also not really, esp on e3s you use req during FoF to get a second req usage
you only req during fof if your kill time is before roiling iirc
otherwise you do ANOTHER rotation
hopefully e3s doesnt need me to do janky things like gnb to shove stuff in before a mael
gnb is too hard for me tbh
pld is too hard for me
Best drk strat is 3rd gcd delirium in e1s so you can get like 3 bloodspillers on adds and push it out of the reopener
I stick to gnb
if im moving a boss during no mercy
but that sick potency gain
im fucked
never delay NM
I mean double weaving while moving boss is uhh
excuses imo
If you do that without clipping I tip my hat to you
also remember that if you jiggle move the boss youll miss autos so its garbage anyways
🙃
i only had 2 places that i did rely on act triggers
nael RP talk ( which i learnt it later after discord dced me alot and had to rely on me doing it without callout assuming discord dc me )
and titan ultimate gaols
i didnt rely on it on any other mechanic
i already doubleweave while moving as brd/mch
have fingers on R2/L2
have fingers on D pad and colored buttons
move both analogs by edges of my hands
I just use my thumbs for everything lol. All my GCDs are under my right thumb and movement is under my left. I never need to use the camera and move and push buttons, so it works out*.
*Fuck you, Exdeath
Titan gaols, nael quotes, and what number do I have in TEA are the mechanics I'll happily use triggers for
1st limit cut is easy without trigger
will see how wormhole fare without it
since it involve much more mechs depending on your num
I like cactbot lol
man the difference between intermissions in uwu and alex
😂 👌
limit cut is as hard as nails
nails are hard?
they are pretty weak actually
all it takes it one punch and it seems like they break
very flimsy
Depends on which end you punch
Gravity is worth it for 2 enemies now right?
yes
can anyone on aether server help me on eden savages so I can get to tea?
How far are pugs making it these days, anyway? Surely they're on Prime by now
I've decided that I'm finally gonna do E1S this week.
NA pugs in Alex Prime? Hmm
It's a locked duty for me, so I can't even read the descriptions in party finger
nobody pugs tea
Yeah, it's just static recruitment
People decide on a random mechanic to write in the PF and then wipe to protean and limit cut
thats basically tea pugs in a nutshell
if pugs could even make it to nisi id be surprised
if pugs are on alexander prime then our pug scene is much better than i expected
i doubt pugs even see limit cut
let alone alex prime
Any video/written guides out there for Alex prime? Or is it a case of jump in and wing it?
For geocrush should I take blue or red route?
what do you mean, for geocrush?
geocrush is where he jumps to a random tile and does a knockback, this looks more like evil earth, in which case it doesn't matter too much as long as you step into a tile where it went off
and if this is at the start, as long as you're with at least one other person when orange resolves
past that your movement doesn't really matter
@sinful storm https://clees.me/guides/tea/
there's also https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wKE4Hj7asv5PsJT4w4mL5chDRMTtgUbdPCsJWqGsuJk/edit# and https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zh6lBnS7ipTIPAN10y376Y1KB9UYOVEt622t1lyezek/edit for reference if you want
Observations from The Epic of Alexander (Ultimate) by ali kelly notes: i originally started working on this for just my static but if it can help other people out as a stopgap until more fancy and descriptive guides come out that would be really cool! ok yeah there’s fanci...
@dull radish Thank you!
Why not move to the NE?
It’s much shorter
Also you should move with whatever way the tank is going so you don’t lose any uptime
unless you're a ranged then just go do whatever you feel like as long as you resolve the orange~
I just took an Evil Earth image and edited it with those red blue lines on paint 😂 @dull radish
I was having trouble standing on diagonals during geocrush... gonna try the center (blue) route now
it just seems a bit excessive to move all the way over there, particularly if you're tank/melee
there's not really a reason to
Or a caster or healer. Lose a lot of uptime
Maybe diagonal but a bit more centered then
well depends on what's up there but still
really just getting used to moving into an adjacent tile after it goes off trivializes the mechanic
there's no reason to not just chill up there in that corner
Just stand on the NE spot, wait 2, move in
I was feeling silly for dying only there when there is no surecast available
surecast?
Arms lenght fot casters
I'm very aware
you do not use surecast for evil earth, but for geocrush. What's above is evil earth
"I just took an Evil Earth image and edited it with those red blue lines on paint "
oh, are you looking for "where to get knocked back to" from the geocrush
you still weren't quite clear
Oh I see
:/ yes
but basically you're asking about what direction to get knocked to
in which case, again it doesn't really make a difference, I usually like the straight knockback
which is the blue line
I see
Depending on job you can cheese it too
Thanks, was scared to use straight in pf
On DRG I pop my jump soon as it occurs and it cancels the movement
there's no danger to anyone else for geo
you can get knocked back in whatever way, as long as you don't fall off and make it back to the boss before the landslide/car it's fine
though knockback cancelling is most cozy for when surecast/arm's length isn't up yeah
Hey did yall know drg lb3 is a jump, cause this guy is never going to forget that https://clips.twitch.tv/InspiringVictoriousCakeTinyFace
that's a tilter
that's actually so rough holy shit
i wonder if that dude's keyboard was alive after this clip
they really should just delete any movement from that and monk lb3
monk's even worse afaik
had e3s wipes after smokers resolved cause monk lb yeets him into the void
mnk lb3 literally throws them thru the boss
if the movement was for show thats ok but dont throw me into the boss and then i die cause i fell
melee mains really need to know whether their LB3 is a true melee or not (ie. does it "gap close")

happens too often
Still remember that JP DRG that LB3 Proto Ozma and fell down
LOOOL
I just finished Grand Cosmos
Dog puns
😄
So guys what do I need to get materia wise as a gunbreaker
What current best materials for dancer? Crit>direct hit>determination?
generally yes, though if you're able to get BiS you should work more specifically towards one of those sets
Meh i dont care much for best in slot,. Not and raider
Is the Titan stuff the current final Eden thing
yes
time to unlock Nier raids I guess
Can unlock savage now and after savage ultimate
I hope this is the right channel, does anyone know if the balance discord still exists?
Yes
Thank you!
No problem :)
<3
anyone have the latest APM ranking since 5.1?
yeah looks like it, nice
Hey so I don’t know if I should ask this here or in the question tab but. What do you all do with your 450 eden gear so it doesn’t just fill up unnecessary space?
I’d just junk it tbh, there’s no weekly loot limit for the non-weapon tokens anymore so the sets are easy to get back if you want them for glamour
if you have space in your glam dresser you can throw shit in there
as a form of storage
so im a idiot, does someone know what 1st and 2nd explosion means in mgr
mgr?
merry go round
I'm assuming they're talking about the inner AoEs by "explosions" with a number
saying dodge into the first AoE and stop for "1st explosion", etc
The NA strat bby
some pugs here do it too
thanks
Hi, I'm a casual pug raider and I'm interested in the new Ultimate Alexander but have some questions first before I dive in:
- I never used ACT and wonder how significant it is in helping with ultimate raids. (Do they give mechanic warnings or something?)
- In terms of mechanics and DPS checks, how do they compare to say the 4th raid of a savage tier? (Are 90%+ - yellow parses necessary in order to clear?)
- Do Ultimate Raids get easier if I do them later? Should I wait until optimal guides are released months down before attempting? Or wait for next raid tier for ilvl boost?
If there are some things a fresh ultimate raider should know, please inform me! My main concern is how unforgiving are ultimate raids?
Ultimates are extremely unforgiving. Raidwides generally oneshot without mitigation, single deaths are often unrecoverable, and mechanics are much more precise than savage.
ACT isn't necessary, though it's nice to know how much damage you're doing
People like to say the dps checks in ultimate are easy, but that's because they're usually in teams of 8 coordinated high purple/orange parsers
dps checks aren't week 1 savage difficult, but they're much much harder than savage with current gear
Usually people ask for at least purples in savage when they're recruiting
That's a decent bar for competency and it's less difficult/time intensive than clearing an ultimate
Clearing with +5 ilvl armor will be a bit easier but it's not a huge difference
There's usually only one real dps check phase and it gets a bit easier but you still have to do all the mechanics and your rotation properly
And there could be some breakthrough, but I feel like the strategies for the harder mechanics are already pretty well optimized
Thanks for the thorough pov!
How long does it generally take to learn/clear an ultimate raid in terms of a casual raider (2-3 days/week)? I think E4S alone took me a week
Typically quoted statistic is 60-100 hours of prog
oooof
feels like i spent more than that on E2S
A little bot of raid anxiety but I wanna feel what its like a bit first before giving up LOL
I took like 2.5 months for uwu then a bit over a month for ucob with less hours because I had a better group xd
damn how are you fairing with TEA
is this one harder/easier than the previous ultiamtes?
I'm at inception right now
I really want to be further but we've had awful scheduling issues
ahh right
Feels bad seeing my friends starting to clear
The first two phases are much harder than the first two in uwu
I feel like the second phase in ucob is about on par
But by all accounts there's one more difficult mechanic ahead for my group, and then it's like 8 minutes of victory lap
8minutes of victory lap? so the latter half is easier? haha
uwu/ucob don't have the victory lap until ~3 minutes from the end
yeah
It's a running theme with ultimates, though TEA seems to take it to the extreme
The last threeish minutes of uwu and ucob are very simple with a lot of raid damage, basically mitigation spreadsheet check
And some straightforward dodging that will cause a wipe if anyone fails
damn not thrilled about the 1-2 deaths causing wipe intensity but I guess thats why its called ultimate
TEA seems especially unforgiving there
You can strugglebus pretty hard in the middle of ucob and the first half of uwu
I've cleared uwu and ucob with a late death but it was extremely close with a very good group both times
where do you go for ultimate guides? as a casual raider I usually rely on those youtube video guides like MTQ but I've noticed they dont post ultimate guides for some reason
Any video guide on ultimate will be extremely long
MTQ isn't good enough to post a proper ultimate guide
They are mostly text and diagram based
MTQ specifically doesn't make ultimate guides because one she doesn't feel like thats what her core audience is going to be doing and two they would be very long
damn that intense
For uwu/ucob my group used Clees' guides a lot
sounds like im upgrading from picture books to chapters
Though I don't think he has one for TEA
He has
oh nice
2-3 days ago
he has one recently posted
Definitely use his for TEA as well then
Cause he was the strategist attached to the world first team
who are these ppl? is there a site or something where ppl compile unique strategies for raids?
just search clees (fight)
oh dang personal websites huh? icic i thought ppl use like a universal site
i like the graphics haha
I also found Mister Happy's UWU fight breakdown pretty helpful
And there are other video guides out there
Xeno and Arthars both have pretty decent ucob guides
there's also a theory strat for jagd dolls (gather to mid and assize + tech step) but it's not proven yet (allows to feed them all at once)
As a tank, I've seen people meld 'tenacity' for their ultimate raid progression but do they remove them and put in the regular BiS melds once they've learned the mechanics or are tenacity melds a necessity
Though xeno gets to golden and is like "just don't get hit 4head thx for watching bye"
They're not necessary
o weird
You'll get something like 5% more passive mitigation at the cost of 1-2% damage
Tho I must say ultimate is very different in terms of guides. Savage and below are not that complicated so it is easier for generally accepted strats to appear, and them being easier to explain to more casual players.
Ultimate fight's mechanics time to time have certain nuances that is hard to explain in just a few words, so any ultimate guide will be very long and more often than not there are many ways to do it. Most ultimate "guides" aim to explain the concept behind each mechanics and leave it to the reader to decide what to do. This is also because it is expected that people attempting ultimates have certain level of competency to understand the concepts, not your casual raiders
^
It's possible that tenacity can save a wipe or two along the way, but you definitely don't want to be missing that damage when you're pushing for a clear
The devil really is in the details for ultimates
i see isee that explains why theres so many different guides with ultimates
Phase 2 TEA is like 75% establishing traffic rules with each other
Because nobody can touch each other except at specific pre-arranged times
But there are randomly targeted mechanics and people need to move all over the place
Yeah
People think wormhole is the hot debate but I really think it's phase 2
Had a discussion with FC mates about P2 the other day on which way to do it is the safest
Hard to find a conclusion
The thing about ultimate is that it typically requires greater precision when executing mechanics than savage, so a lot of strats, while broadly similar to each other, are going to have a lot of individual nuances between groups. How are my party members moving? Where are they standing? How should I co-ordinate with them? Etc.
It's why subbing for ultimate is pretty annoying.
there's several rather solid wormhole strats now
oh dang it sounds like clearing ultimate raids is challenging outside of a static then? guess u gotta commit pretty hard to one in order to reclear
Pug clear ultimate?
LOL Hey I see ultimate partys on PF!!
Those are just extra practice runs
And for groups who started pugging and eventually reach a decent point ended deciding to become a static and clear together
I've done community service clears but those basically work because there's a big group of ultimate raiders that all use the same strats
I'm not sure how Alex would play out
Yeah pretty sure we all have different stuff for Alex rn
P2 rules gonna be cancer for community to agree with anything
Wormhole as well but not as bad as Nisi movement
Even P1 there's gonna be some significant variation
I feel like my protean baiting is not exactly standard
Or at least I hope it's not
IDK what is even standard now but my group just bait N and S. People baiting waves and puddles/north half will stack north and vice versa
But yeah overall ultimate can be said to be a static patience test rather than a mechanics or dps test
The baiting I do for the last one
Replacing any member is cancer as well
Start from LL again
Especially replacing healers
Big struggle
Bait nnw, stand in a tiny sliver and hope I'm not boxed in by puddle, then run to the other side while the animation of the last waves hit me and bait the north tornado spray at the wall
Wait you bait tornado as a tank
yeah
That is rather interesting. Protean 2?
I only bait sluice then come back for 2nd unseen wave
virus
i think might've uploaded it wrong or discord being weird
@uncut charm everyone should just agree on cbt for wormhole
cbt is so inefficient
I love cognitive behavioral therapy
@nova socket do you have that chart of nm windows to shove everything in before maelstroms in e3s
This is just what I follow
In the beginning you just do normal fast no mercy and assuming you don't lose uptime you should end on a solid barrel which lets you start post meal-1 with GF
same thing
I don't think I ever practiced it on dummy
you just wing it?
I just had the image open on my second screen lul
mfw ps4
I put a postit note in the corner of my screen with e2s mitigation
now that my gnb is just
sitting with its 475 weapon and technically bis gear
i should do something with it
TEA? :)
god no
i am awful with gnb
not to mention going into tea with it lmao
i wanna practice gnb
last party i was in was e4s and i had to ot that shit
and still got a green parse
think my highest e4 parse is as OT
wheeze
i missed
11 gcds in nm
i have not played gnb since i cleared 3s with it
but
i think this might be an improvement compared to what ive done before
maybe.

Except I hate WAR being a special snowflake with its melds
It's not a huge loss to use WAR melds everywhere
war melds are fine on other jobs
It's just I actually care about that 40 dps on DRK
i met a special war cotank
i checked his e1s log and he was abysmal
hes also a friend of a friend so im helping them improve
I saw pf where some guy was "high dps only" it was locked to i460+ and he had like
very low grey logs
Or did, my gate static stopped running and I don't care to chase pinks in pugs
My e4s kills are all pretty bad as well
!wl @nova socket
Having a smooth titan kill in pugs is so hard

reeee
rip pink
its always titan
but yeah cats war is so braindead
just keep eye
use upheaval on cd
and spam cleave
tbh gnb is omega braindead as well
It's a static rotation with small optimizations on some bosses, otherwise you just try to get 100% uptime
Then again, I'm still new to the game so dunno how to compare it to lots of things.
I should learn other jobs as well, I've dabbled into DRK which seems fun
most people hated it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
all shb tanks play super smooth now
Most people also are smooth brains
Mercy, I am sm0l brain
simplification is the only reason I can tank
I was a BRD dude back then

It's either that or "lol have better gear" if you play optimally
but at that point /shrug
I don't play optimally yet, at least most of the time.
my brain is too small
to play optimially
can't remember all the exact presses in a spreadsheet perfect run

then get shitted because you miss a 10-20 potency gain
I usually end phases on the same gcd but then I hear friends like yeah if you run 2.41 in Titan he jumps while your gcd is rolling around in an awkward spot and I'm like ??? are you a quartz crystal or something
Since I find a severe lack of DH on tank gear, I guess it's safe to meld everything into DH or should I meld more crit? (paladin)
DH wherever you can't fit in crit
assuming you're already at your preferred/ideal GCD
Does anyone know which datacentre/world is more focussed on raiding? EU btw.
Chaos by far
What about world in light dc?
there is no DH on any tank gear
instead of DH you get tenacity
by that I mean, gear has tenacity
instead of DH
so early on in tiers you can just meld pure DH
Light is the crystal of eu
Yikes so all worlds in light dc are supercasual?
No wonder pf here is superempty.
Oh wait, world shouldnt matter pf is across all dc
eh not really, people still raid, just less
most hc guilds are on chaos but also they don't really affect 99% of raiders anyways
Pugs are still trash on Chaos
Yeah hardcore FCs don’t matter where they are cause they ain’t inviting people in PF lol
that's the essential fallacy that everyone commits when they ask about servers for endgame
the truly talented raiders ain't joining your PF
so when the split happened on NA, the servers that became crystal lost a lot of talented players, but we lost a bunch of shitters too lol
so enjoy that, aether and primal
this is based on nothing but intuition, but i feel like the average overall skill level does not really vary that much by datacenter
the size of the raiding population varies by way, way more
What would you say are the largest raid populations?
Primal
primal/aether
It really is tho
Yikes so all worlds in light dc are supercasual?
Not really, I get plenty of good people in Light PF. The raid community got a lot smaller from the Chaos split, so it's still recovering.
It's the size of the population that's suffering, not the quality, but all the fast growing servers are on Light AFAIK, so by the end of shadowbringers the two data centres will probably be on par./
yikes dude thats cringe
can someone explain to me in short summary one of the mechanics in TEA worked?
specifically, the one where you get a book (?) from earlier phase, and you now get to see future version of yourself and there are 2 arrow linking you and your future self.
how does that work?
So in A12S there are crystals that you put down in advance of Alex teleporting randomly and doing a Sacrament while he's invisible, the trick being that you figure out roughly where he is by the nearest crystal shattering
The same crystals show up in Inception Formation, and the same sort of mechanic happens
The trick is that instead of doing it that way, you place all the crystals in the path of a heart that's released on the other side of the arena to Alex
When the heart shatters all the crystals, it gives away Alex's position and gives you the Enigma Codex buff
In Perfect Alex, the Fate Calibration mechanics involve super long cast bars where the upcoming mechanic plays out visually. Each person has a clone that will die in the course of trying to resolve the mechanic and you have to look at how they died to see what's going to happen and do the mechanic properly, which happens after the castbar ends
(shanoa being the "true heart", like from A11S)
Without the Enigma Codex buff, you don't see anything at all during the castbar so it's impossible to tell what debuffs you will have and where the Alex clones will jump
i see
Each person has a clone that will die in the course of trying to resolve the mechanic and you have to look at how they died
may i ask for just a tad more detail on this one?
specifically, what will the player be looking for?
different kind of death animation?
basically you see your clone trying to do the mechanic, it'll fail or succeed various parts
but by paying attention to your clone you can see what mechanic you had, and where the safespots are
so like, when you have to stay still or move, where safe spot for lasers are, if you have defamation or stack or whatever
and then you have to follow up with doing the mechanic properly for real, after the replay happens with the clones
i see
Someone did the math on the possibility of clearing Perfect Alex phase without the buff and it’s pretty wild
yeah I saw that the other day
Suffice to say you have a significantly higher chance of winning the lottery
almost one in a billion, right?
discord search isn't working for me at the moment otherwise I'd find it and link it haha
I was trying to search on my static discord server haha
ok i did the math of TEA dps checks
LL need 87k rdps
bj+cc need 85k rdps
triple check can range between 71 - 78k depending how low you can alex prime before he disappear
perfect need 80.2k
if we to not account calibration downtime
you need 88k rdps
I'm getting 94k active rdps for perfect
28.9 mil hp, 6 minute enrage, 85% uptime
Though I took uptime from a fast kill so you'd get more uptime on a slow kill
On the other hand you'd have more people dying to enrage
calibrations has exactly 35 secs downtime
so 2,890,000 / 325 = 88k
1st one is 12 secs
2nd one is 23 secs
Basically every phase before perfect is a joke in comparison
exactly
Highest rdps and it's single target
though healers can dps more in it
given he almost doesnt do any dmg
outside stacks and busters
dont forget
LB3 do almost 2k dps alone
so 78k
This walls work with Shirogane House ?
#questions-and-help , but also no, house walls work with houses (mediums) and cottage walls work with cottages (smalls)
but there's no zone restrictions
i mean all size in this case. just want to know it work or not cause i own a cottage in Shirogane. thanks for answer and housing is endgame content isnt it ?
no it isn't
@inland plover this channel is usually for discussion of endgame trials/raids
shit like that
why are both of them moving
just have nisis stand still so non nisis can touch them
and spread their disease
whatever nisi is

that was fkn almost clean wormhole ugh
Cactbot now completely babies you through every step of wormhole. Incoming 1000 clears
lf> cactbot triggers to help with alarm clock prog and gm gaol prog
has he been unbanned yet
til friday I think
powerful
the best part is they didn't even delete the alts
I swear if he actually gets banned for not deleting them on his own though...
That'd be a funny meme.
I swear he's gonna get perma'd
probably tbh
When he disappeared mid-pull someone immediately asked if he was in GM gaol
I don't think echo is this patch, at least it hasn't been mentioned yet
Will be slightly later most likely
My cotank uhh
Oh goddammit really
So there's a guy, we'll call him Bobsun Dugnutt
yeeted?
Who is not exactly popular
I wanted to get pre echo logs for my smn since i started it recently that was a waste then
And decided to change datacenters
Couldve just done em later
So my cotank made an alt named Bobsun Dugnutt on every Aether server
so he would have to change his name
go on
Lmao
for those alts?
Damn that sucks thouth
why?
Its funny but that sucks lol
I mean GMs can't say why but he's pretty sure that's why
If you change servers and someone has your name you get a free name change
They'd log you out and tell you to change it
larry had his as fucc boi
lol
then gms made him change it
Yea i saw someone named Inyo Ass and they just told him to change it too
I remember when they'd just make a new name for you in LoL
Some guy posted about logging in and his acc was changed from Ocean of Semen to Ocean of VitaminC
Lmao
