Triple during AF only is generally expected. Probably some delay happening somewhere for you. I'd recommend checking Laqi Thish's povs on youtube for reference. That being said, casting > not casting so if you really have to hold it to keep casting then it's fine to do so

you can start with a 440 ronkan set with some edengate pieces, try titania and innocence extreme if you want some harder content and more 450 stuff
phantasmagoria is i460 and limited to 450 tomes per week so you can buy a piece week by week, and you'll be able to upgrade it with tokens from the 24man raid coming out in patch 5.1
or you can try eden savage which is more difficult than the extreme trials and generally recommended to be done in a pre-made group called a "static", and that drops i470 gear and upgrades for the phantasmagoria gear

I dont understand why e2s is so difficult for pugs. I've been able to do it flawless for 10 hours but every "clear" party just cant get past flair two or the cycles, or if they can we have 25% left by quietus. I really want to just clear this but pf is making it so hard.

- people forgetting the flare is delayed and went to positions early, unnecessarily and forget about the hand of ebros immediately after and gets knocked down (if getting knock back hand)
- not enough heals/people stacking for unholy darkness after flare
- forgetting 2nd flare activates the same time as shadoweye, getting petrified
- people not topped after 2nd flare and at the same time get clipped by the delayed dark fire after
which usually results in odd numbers for equilibrum/missing people for punishing ray
and then people forget cleaver after ray
you can actually just react normally before double flare phase without really remembering the sequence... and quietus is kinda brain dead

well if you look at raw healing WHM is definitely superior but usually for that you will appreciate mitigation/shields
if you look at 10:55 part the HP on some hits didn't drop a lot
there's definitely lots of mitigation applied there

it isn't necessary, but it's very useful for optimization and improvement. Tracks a good bit more than just dps, but lot of folks just use it for dps and just general analysis, especially when uploading logs to fflogs/running a log through xivanalysis

ACT shows literally everything if you know how to read through it. Additionally you can install plugins or create triggers to do tons of other things

Yeah, that sounds right. Crit and Direct Hit are probably really close in value right now, but crit gets stronger and stronger as you get more of it, so it's probably good to start working on maximizing it now.
