weekly challenge log will give you a small bump too yeah

i wouldn't stress it too much since you're super early though

You can get about 3k just for doing 5 dungeons in roulettes and commending someone at the end of each. You'll get "run 3 dungeons" "run 5 roulettes" and "commend 5 players", each is worth about 1k gil and some xp.

You do need to unlock the challenge log for that to be an effective source of xp and gil though.

The PS5 version runs at a higher native resolution, but has a lower average frame rate. The PS4 (pro) version uses Checkerboard rendering (tl;Dr skips every other pixel and uses an algorithm to reconstruct) but has basically a locked 60 FPS, at the cost of some graphical effects. (note the the frame rate drop only happens in high character density zones, like Limsa or Hunt Trains, but unless you're really need that performance I'd recommend the PS5 native app.)

It's just better at hiding it. You'll still see performance hitches now and then, especially in high character density zones.

Personally, I'm fine with Limsa running "poorly" because I just don't frequent going there much. I usually go to Uldah or Gridania if I need to visit an ARR zone

All builds are viable Crit builds are better in full uptime scenarios and better at aligning with buffs, but the speed SMN playstyle is still a viable option if you prefer it. Crit = higher average damage but more variance. SPS = lower overall damage but more consistent.

mit is the thing you dont spam during fights, having it with a hotkey risk using something up. And like when you do big pulls your mouse would be relatively close to the mit bar anyways so clicking is super easy

u gave a number of patterns i follow for where things are placed in my hotbars, to try and keep the general feel/muscle memory the same, at least for the majority of stuff

The only button I use for shortcut like open invertories are C, U and I

and M

so how i do it,
All role actions, in the same place per job role
even the ones that both casters and healers share, same place no matter what,
rez on the same key
then i put the basic 123 combos in the usual, just 123 hotbar slots
for healers, the dot is on 1, single target on 2, AoE on 3
i have ranged melees on the same key, gap closers on the same key,
damage buffs on the same key, etc, etc
and you can find patterns in different jobs in teh same role, things that are basically equivalents on other jobs
like WHM's medica and medica II, is basically AST's Helios and Aspected Helois
Regen = Aspected Benefic, etc

TLDR, find things that are the same, map them to the same keys, more likely to work on the same type of job, like all healers, all tanks, etc

then you place the exceptions to these rules, wherever works best for you of course

which will usually come down to job specific stuff, like AST's cards for example

it should, you have to have the hotbar in focus, then maybe press one of the num arrrows first to have it start, then you can shift by pixels at a time
numlock should be on for this
you need to move that right top hotbar up 4 pixels for it to line up with the left one
then move the bottom one to the left by one pixel

Those two are, in terms of flavor, your character sinking into the pits of human misery. And whenever your character is acting on another job, they still harbor those emotions but choose not to act on them

Dragoon job quests are kind of nicely nested in the HW story so that's one I'd recommend picking up early if you care about that.
Bummer that the job is kind of dull until high levels though.
