I've basically been using a single control scheme for a while and while it works perfectly for DRK and PLD, as I'm trying to level DPS classes I'm hitting wall after wall.

For reference, my current controls use ERFQT on keyboard and 1-7 on my mouse since I use a MOBA faceplate as my thumb can actually figure out where the hell the buttons are. This is also accompanied by Shift for AoE skills, and clicking on situational skills like mitigations and tank stance.

When can I get my first mount?

Are there any differences between mounts?
Some mounts allow multiple people (2/4/8) to ride at once, with all mounts having the same movement speed. A partial exception to this rule is the SDS Fenrir, a mount from the Mog Station. The SDS Fenrir acts as if you have the first mount speed boost obtained from completing specific quests in the story, making it a bit faster than other mounts, but only until completing the relevant story quests for that zone.

Can I make my mount faster?
Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. i'm currently farming Twintania on repeat (for arr relic) and I can't figure out one thing - most of the times i just unleash everything and kill her in 30 seconds (including running to her) and sometimes i do the exact same thing and she just flies off to the divebomb phase. is there a way to make her consistently not go to divebomb phase?

Does anybody know how to re-assign retainer slot number?
For example, I previously had 8 retainers but am only at 3 right now, the retainer that I want to unlock is in the 5th retainer slot, am I forced to purchase an additional 2 retainers service? Or is there a way to purchase only an additional retainer and get access to that one retainer I want?

Is Scholar good for a first time healer? I've tried regenerative healers in the past and other games and they never really clicked for me. However, I've been playing a lot of DRK lately and popping TBN on somebody just before a big hit just gives me a nice dopamine rush, thus I was thinking about trying a barrier healer which may play similar to that.

Basically, are Scholars good to learn for a first time healer and do the play any similarly to that one fun ability in DRK's kit?

If you want to enter an instance with friends on another server you can form a crossworld party, using the party finder for example

then queue into a duty.
