1. atm many SG (to certain exted SEA player) play on JP. the new OCE server currently give higher ping on most SEA country (20-40ms difference) but your isp routing can affect it too

2. treat this game as single player rpg with coop element until you reach endgame for raiding. first 100-200 hour consist of enjoying story with occasional coop in dungeon so you are good to play solo. the coop also has match making so you can get in, clear duty and get out even without doing any social interaction.

if you are social person, there are a lots of place to do RP or just join guild (called FC - free companies) and have chat , making event etc. people also create a static for long term raiding

3. goild is more like social space with some minor buff, there is no such thing that force you to have guild. for sg guild... i think there exist you just need to find it

When can I get my first mount?
The quest that allows you to use mounts, ''My Little Chocobo'', is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest ''The Company You Keep''. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose, and you'll need to buy a Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 required Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes immediately after ''The Company You Keep''.

Are there any differences between mounts?
Some mounts allow multiple people (2/4/8) to ride at once, with all mounts having the same movement speed. A partial exception to this rule is the SDS Fenrir, a mount from the Mog Station. The SDS Fenrir acts as if you have the first mount speed boost obtained from completing specific quests in the story, making it a bit faster than other mounts, but only until completing the relevant story quests for that zone.

Can I make my mount faster?
Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

As long as you're both on Elemental you can play together and visit
