Since you're on Primal, I strongly recommend joining the Primal Faloop server (The Coeurl) and picking up the appropriate roles. You can play on any world on any datacenter within FFXIV. Aside from the languages spoken, the physical location of the servers, and the status of each world, there are no major differences. This also means population on a given server is quite meaningless.

The majority of content is cross-world, with the exception of Free Companies, Linkshells, and restrictions when visiting other worlds.

If you don't mind where you play, choose a world that is Preferred or New for character creation bonuses. Check world status by using !status <world name> or via the Lodestone. For information about the status types, use !faq worldtype in #kupo-bot-spam.

First you need to hook up your controller with your PC, then in the character settings you can toggle between M+K and controller control schemes.

Hey, I’ve been playing with an Xbox controller just fine, but now that I’ve plugged in a Razer Tartarus, the game constantly thinks it’s a controller and swaps to it automatically, even mid combat

I'm afraid I don't see the issue. FFXIV let's you use both a controller and keyboard at the same time. Just manually switch FFXIV to keyboard mode and it should still let you use the joystick

Unless you mean to disable Direct Chat mode

I'd recommend contacting support then. I suspect it's because FFXIV doesn't want to play nice with multiple "controller" inputs. Maybe try disconnecting the Xbox controller, unless you really want to swap between both.

If you can set the joystick to be WASD input instead of analog that may also fix it

quick synth is more time efficient iirc, but you need a lot more materials to do it, like A LOT more

normal synth is less time efficient, but a lot better in terms of costs, assuming you can't sell the finished materials for a profit(depends on the items)

if you can make a profit and can buy large quantity of materials then quick synth is nice, just need to remember to repair every 99 synths or whatever

you can sell stuff on the market, but if you equipped it you can't sell it, 2 ways to recycle old gear, either Expert deliveries at your GC for seals, need a Sergeant Second Class rank to do it, or Desynth if you have lvl 30 crafter of the right type for the item

people run hunt trains constantly throughout the expansion, there's less ppl when there's nothing much to gain from them, but still ppl doing achievements and whatever, and with better gear they die fast anyway even with just a single party
