5. Preliminary data is often misinterpreted and spread, causing more in harm than good.

Job balance is better left for approximately 1 month after Savage release, since there are more recorded runs, better gearing options + BiS sets, and fight designs are known.

Any current definite claims about job balance are at worst clickbait or pure speculation, and at best educated guesstimates that are subject to change as available information changes.

i run the game from the nvidia control panel at 82fps, half my display refresh, which is 165hz
its really up to you, you could run it at 60 fps if you want
if you're running the game in fullscreen, its probably fine, but i run multiple monitors and run the game in borderless windowed mode, had all sorts of weird issues with framerates not working, using the 1/2 mode would just drop the fps to 20, unusable, it would also cause the fps to switch modes randomly, the "limit frame rate when client inactive" wouldn't work properly, oh gsync would also just not work properly
and yes that EXE is correct, its ffxiv_dx11.exe, just set Max Frame Rate, to what you want, it wont apply while the game is running so you'll need to restart the game

You can unlock the ability to have your chocobo also be an overworld party member and fight alongside you when you reach level 30 and have completed the quest My Feisty Little Chocobo . What trees do spec into for my chocobo?
The typically recommended chocobo skill point allocation is to get 4 ranks into the healing tree for choco cure, followed by maxing out the DPS tree. The tank tree does not allow your chicken to gain enough enmity to surpass your own output, so its shelved for last. You can eventually max out every tree, though to level your chocobo past rank 10 you will need Thavnairian Onions

3 questions:

3. What would be the most viable order to buy equipment in? Since the ilevel of the new equipment is the same as the Ex fights, I'd assume the best would be to buy the head, chest, hands, legs, feet first and just get the weapon/accessories from the Ex fights, correct?

Also if number 3 is correct, what would be the best order to buy head, chest, hands etc. in?

2. You can pass and reclaim later. But it won’t carry over into the next reset. You have 1 week to claim.
3. Chest and legs have higher stats than the rest so those are a priority iirc. If you’re referring to normal raid gear it’s dependent on your job but this will be outclassed on penta crafted

Tldr on gearing; if you’re not doing savage then it won’t matter too much. Just take the best ilvl you can get. If you’re focusing on bis usually thebalance wizards will drop tier/priority lists for getting bis. The tank calculator just got updated so there’s that. As for now I’d just get the tome gear and mix it with normal raid gear unless you wanna spend millions pentamelding.

@leaden ginkgo DX errors almost always have something to do with either your graphics card, your graphics card's drivers OR a somehow corrupted/conflicted Windows file or registry. If you can't fix it through the usual methods, I'd suggest taking our your graphics card and cleaning it physically then re-seating it back on. If you can't do that or you play from a laptop, I can't advise anything else sadly :(

They have specialist classifications. You can have 3 at any one time and they have an item for the crystal slot that gives a small stat boost and access to extra actions and some exclusive recipes from HW.

In-game in the System menu (Esc), there's a "Support Desk" option where you can report an issue. One of the tabs is "Contact Us" - that's what I used and it worked. I imagine they're pretty backed up what with the influx of players and more pressing issues, so you may be waiting a while.

I've found quick explorations to be an overall better xp/time yield as long as you are able to "catch/release" them somewhat regularly. Plus they often bring back equipment you can hand in for seals to stay ahead on ventures (if that's a concern).
