You should be able to save the appearance data after finishing the character appearance. If not, then simply make the character on a different world, save their data from right-clicking their name, and then delete the character+wait for your desired world to be open.

The ROG to NIN is mainly because Yoshi-P ordered everyone on the dev team to read the first volume of Naruto while developing NIN.
