Thanks dude, will give a shot. To be clear on what I am googling currently, it's like... "gameplay" style.
To give a reference, in WoW each tank is distinctly different.

For instance, my favourite was Brewmaster.
It fit me really well, like its power was these things:
Doesn't need to mitigate large hits
Spreads out dmg over time that can be mitigated later
Doesn't need a "oh fuck" button

All tanks have similar tool kits

So a tank that allows to stagger dmg over time would be a perfect fit instead of
"Prepare for big dmg coming"

Their rotations, bursts and playstyle are more distinct but they all have similar defensive skills so that the game can stay BALANCED

I prefer the tank to have distinct different tactics and styles on how to tank, because not everyone play the same way.

In WoW
Paladin for instance is all about mitigating mechanics and prepare for big hurt.
Brewmaster is about staggering mechanic soaks over time and cleansing.
Druid was a lot of self heal (in Shadowlands at least with their leggos)

I got assigned a scheduling project for my final year project and I'm hoping to make it a scheduling app that helps players of FF14 and possibly other games find parties to participate in raids with based on their server, in game role, what they're schedules are like and what events they would like to participate in. Hoping to gather some info for the initial report due in a couple weeks so I'd really apprieciate the feedback!

Generally? People will join a team that fits their schedule rather than the other way around.

Events are typically scheduled with the idea of the most people being able to attend, rather than all being able to attend as well.

Events will also generally be things that FCs do, and coordinate through their off-game servers, then invite people generally once the schedule is already set.

There's nothing to do 1-15 besides hunting logs and potd for reliable fast exp, maybe guild heists but I dunno the exact exp rate gain so someone will have to chime in

Typically Job Quests are contained within their expansions separately. If you have not reached the next expansion in , you need to continue the main story quests until you reach the next expansion, denoted by giant letters naming said expansion.

Not sure whether this is the correct channel, but my MSQ's been broken for over a week now, and support just told me to sit tight. I asked whether they could abandon the quest for me so I could pick it back up again -- as that worked for me before on a side quest with the same issue -- but apparently GMs are unable to do so and haven't provided anything re: where I could follow up.
