Rested Experience FAQ

'Why does my EXP bar have some blue or faded yellow in it?'

That's Rested Experience, which is an extra source of bonus experience shared between all of your classes. You gradually earn this while inside a sanctuary (town or area with a major aetheryte), regardless of whether you're online or not. Sanctuaries are also indicated with a crescent moon icon near your experience bar.

'How much of a boost is it?'

The most amount of rested experience you can have at once is one and a half levels of experience. That means that lower level jobs use up the rested experience faster than higher level jobs do.

yes

you need 75 combat materia ranging from grades 1-4

you first meld grade 1's of a stat until it doesn't accept it, and then move onto grade 2 and so on

I think most stats cap at 11 per materia grade.

you can do like 4 or 5 different stats at once, or as few as 2

Also note that the further into a materia grade you go, the chance for success starts to go down

and all nodes except ADS aren't immune to insta death

ADS can simply be burned down with the burst skills

That's a bit concerning. If you have a 3rd nametag you're in a fc, or check your party member list and see if you have a company added to your info

Hey, I've got couple questions regarding end game pve. Atm I am finishing off heavensward since I want every of the wondrous tails instances unlocked. I've already finished most of the extreme trials from ARR as well. The problem I encountered is that not many people at all are doing those trials/raids. I've heard good things about ffxiv's old content longevity but so far it seems troubling to get into to say the least. I would like to get rewards for doing all extreme trials eventually but if I need to wait 30minutes between tries it seems not worth it. My questions are following:

1. How do people at max level in practice get extreme trials rewards and wondrous tails done
2. Are those things soloable?
3. If not, are there any discord servers/other means to get group together?
4. Is Savage/Ultimate content done rather in free company group?
