So, for example you have a GCD that does 200 damage, and an oGCD that does 400 damage on 60s CD,
Delaying the GCD by 0.3s would mean you lose 0.3/2.5 worth of the 200 damage, which is like 24
Delaying the oGCD by 2.5s would mean you lose 2.5/60 worth of the 800 damage, which is like 16

In practice, obviously you can't lose "Half a GCD of damage"

There are clip points where you would lose a cast

So for example, in extreme cases, if you sacrifice a GCD that does 200 damage, to use an oGCD that does 400 damage, and this is the last thing you do in the fight, then it's worth it

But in general, since GCD does a HUGE part of your damage, losing GCD is much more problematic

The most important timestamp in a fight is usually the 6 min mark

Where all the good stuff come off CD, potion up, and reopener happens

So drifting 1 sec every 2 min would mean... you miss 3 sec of the raid buffs

Which is, "fine", as long as you are not in super high end week 1 prog

Plus it's not drifting if EVERYONE drifts by 3 sec
