Did they at some point change the gear rewards from the lvl 70 class quests? From "antiquated" Dragonlancer (ilvl 200) for example, to Dragonlancer (ilvl 210).

DX11 errors, as far as i know, are caused by hardware changes when the game attempts to load something. in practical terms, it's usually triggered by overlays, alt-tabbing, or switching out peripherals like headphones etc.
disable things like discord/steam overlays, limit alt tabbing, and make sure all your peripherals are plugged in tightly, and that should help to get rid of most of them

Are there any differences between mounts?
Some mounts allow multiple people (2/4/8) to ride at once, with all mounts having the same movement speed. A partial exception to this rule is the SDS Fenrir, a mount from the Mog Station. The SDS Fenrir acts as if you have the first mount speed boost obtained from completing specific quests in the story, making it a bit faster than other mounts, but only until completing the relevant story quests for that zone.
Can I make my mount faster?
Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Fastest method that I've found (if you're 80) is to take your Chocobo to the tempest, Feed it a Curiel Root (for XP buff, if it's their favorite food you get a 15% bonus) and either find a mob-dense area or grind out fates that have you kill lots of regular mobs. Best is the pearl collecting FATE in the far right of the map. Fast respawn in one spot allowing you to grab them easily and because it's an item turn in you can (potentially) run it through the entire time limit. Only issue is if people want to get a quick turnaround on it. At a minimum I get over 300k XP per cycle with no interruptions.

People should just be using DPS essences (beast is fine for dps) really but there are defensive essenses that aren't worth using at all (veteran, Platebearer, guardian)

When land plots become available, they go on a hidden timer. No one knows how long the timer is because the data is kept server-side to prevent botters from taking advantage of it. So ... basically you have to sit there and repeatedly press Purchase and hope it comes off the timer right as you do, and not right as someone else does.

Need two separate licenses. It’s relatively easy to run multiple instances but you can not do so with a single license/account. If you log in more than one instance with a single account, it’ll force out the already running instance.
