You only need to complete one set to finish the main quests. There isn’t much of a difference during the main quests for how many you’ve cleared except for one additional cutscene in the patch-added quests. There is, however, a special quest that unlocks if you do complete them all.

Oh no I didn't mean it like that. In my other mmo (ESO), I main probably the weakest damage class (think blue mage I guess since i hear a lot of memes about it), and I have to work really really hard to actually be doing the same damage as a good nightblade for example (top dps).

It's fun which is why I do it, but it's really hard to find groups that are pushing scores (I guess time is the equivalent here in FFXIV) because it's about being a team player and you are holding back team, so I have to do them on my alts and I don't want to face that experience again, since it's painful to practice a class for 1000s of hours but still be outparsed by someone who just started playing. I am enjoying dragoon, but I was like if it's too behind I don't want to go through the same pain again.

But from what I am hearing from you guys the dps doesn't matter in this game I guess even if WRs because the following mechanics and perfectly executing them is so important, that the small dps sam would have over say drg won't matter? (Actually I hope that's the case i am sick of meta where you have to change your class every other path ).

if your hp goes down, and the amount of damage enemies deal also goes down a proportionate amount, and your attack goes down, and the amount of hp enemies have also goes down a proportionate amount, then no practical difference is made on the user's end.

centurio discord is pretty pointless for those as they're soloable and not tracked in any way monsters, if it's an elite/B rank you can google the spawn map as there's always one instance of the hunt spawned in the zone, and the other bills are just overworld mobs which you can also google
