Mounts FAQ

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

Hi, I have the game in steam. I wanted to move the game from HDD to SSD, as steam didn't allow me to do it with a button like other games I did it manually. Then uninstalled the game in steam and reinstalled it in the new location (where the game is downloaded, I didn't delete anything). Now when I log in, the game reinstalls itself in the same directory again (the folder is 50GB, the game is installed). So. Each crafter gets an exp bonus the first time you craft an item.

Additionally you can get an item from your gc that boosts exp for crafting stuff and all of them are near a starter vendor with items.

Use the first time craft bonus and the vendor to get them all to 15 in any order.

That’s step 1 for leveling crafters.

you can put gear you want to use for appearance in there, and it uses a prism at that one point

then you can set up plates for a whole outfit

What are Role Quests?

Role Quests serve as a replacement for Job-specific quests for Shadowbringers and are split into four categories (Tank, Healer, Physical DPS, and Magical DPS). These are unlocked with the quest 'Warrior of Darkness' at 71 and all start in the Crystarium around x10-11, y15-16.

At least one of these Role Quest series must be entirely completed in order to complete the Shadowbringers story. Completion of these quests, along with having the appropriate Job at 80, is also required to claim job-specific level 80 i430 gear from Grenoldt in The Tempest.

I was dressed in alchemy gear and after speaking to him I went from Level 17 to 18 in alchemy and unlocked the Standard Touch action.
