Its kinda new, one set is Item level 50 and one is item level 90

You can safely store away the i50 gear and use it for glamour only, but you should wear the i90 gear that you open from the coffer

You can look at an item’s tooltip and it’ll tell you if it can be bought somewhere for Gil if it lists a “Shop Selling Price”

If you have a gaming mouse, you should be able to reassign control and shift to those two buttons in the mouse software, then use them as you would those keys.

I use my side buttons as ctrl+alt to modify keybindings (Logitech G502), but I used the Logitech software to make my mouse buttons to the ctrl+alt things, not FFXIV settings

The only differences between the three Grand Companies are the looks of the equipment and where they're located. How do I get Grand Company Seals?

You can get more seals mainly by completing your Grand Company Hunting Log (Go to the Hunting Log and click on the GC icon), completing FATEs, and turning in crafted/gathered items to the Personnel Officer if you have crafting or gathering classes unlocked. Once you are Sergeant 2nd Class you can turn in Pink/Green/Blue-rarity gear in exchange for more seals.

There's a different buff - the Armory bonus, which applies to all classes under the level of your highest level class.

That one is 100% for jobs under level 70, and 50% for 71-80, assuming your highest level class is 80.

Although I don't think it applies to DoH/DoL

You don't have to have a job at 80 for that one to be active though. It's literally just for any class as long as its lower than the level of your highest level class. So even if you have a class at 10 or 15, and you start another from 1, you'll get the buff until the new class reaches the same level.

i generally only upgrade in 10 level increments

Just note that I should add, all the tanks are very very balanced - truly, you can play and any all you like. I play all 4 as a "main tank" and I dont even have a huge preference, its fun to mix them up with them all leveled.
PLD has a better invulnerability spell, and does more "blocking" where GNB does "Parrying", but otherwise they both have same style defensive moves for the most part.

Additionally, I wouldnt say you need to stun more often than Low Blow is up - you have enough defensives, and enemies either get stun resistant very quickly, or many many arent affected by stuns at all. Sheild Bash is something I almost never ever ever use

Definitely drag it to a hotbar. Maybe a hidden hotbar you can use Shift+4 to get to, or a vertical hotbar off to the side.
If you update the gear set, it WILL update the one on your hotbar as long as its the same set. So it can stay there forever.

Not BiS, but very close to it (and also exception for raid progging), so feel free. It will always be relevant.
Note that when it comes to crafters and gatherers, they all rely on each other so you will find it more difficult to level one, and easier to level them all (a lot of work of course, but worth it)

100% - ARM and BSM rely on Carpenter for lumber, Miner for ore, Goldsmith for nuggets of jewels, Alchemy for glue... and rely on Weaver and Leatherworker to make crafter gear for each other, which rely on Botanist for thread or leather...
Its dizzying and goes around and around but essential all crafter jobs need all other crafter jobs and gatherer jobs to function well

Hello, i don't know if i should ask this here, but i don't see a tech problem section, so here i go;
I decided to come back so yesterday i installed the launcher and started downloading the game again, to my surprise the launcher doesn't download anything, it has some small download spikes where it gets a small download done, and that's it, the rest of time time it just keeps showing "Time Remaining: Unknown", i reset my router, opened the ports indicated in the Q&A section of the web, tried vpn's, nothing seems to make this work, is there a fix for this or another way to download the game outside of the launcher?
