it is an incentive to get people to go to worlds that SE thinks are in need of a population boost but that doesn't necessarily mean they are a "dead" server. you can change later for real money, and for the most part doesn't matter too much. instance content is cross server, the only major things that are still server based are: free company (player guilds) and housing

I think the red footprints are just an artistic thing to put on the quest guide. You won't ever see any quests showing that icon.
Also the orange (!) icon underneath is telling you that you have a conjurer class quest available, or will change to reflect whichever class you currently have equipped. (If you are up to date on class quests, on PS4 at least, there will instead be a line there saying [Touchpad]: confirm destination. I'm guessing there's just no second message on PC.)

either is fine, castrum is helped with esseneces but hardly necessary for its difficulty
i prefer aetherweaver to deal a good chunk of damage on healers tho

Id say Ordained for solo healer, aetherweaver if you got a cohealer
And if your party has like 3-4+ healers for some reason use Profane and enjoy the massive damage while not having to heal
Assuming other healers in the party aren’t also using profane

yeah if you buy the game but do not subscribe then you can give someone a referral code, located on ur mogstation pages
you give them the code, they enter it on their own respective mogstation thing and you both get respective bonuses
