MSQ should be enough for your first class, but yes. I also recommend doing your daily roulettes, msq gives like half a level for it, and others also have nice bonuses.

The RDM solo i saw phase skip that and burst through the 4th phase. I was at 60 when my unsynced team tried and and our PLD 80 cant solo the final phase ,-,

not that i know of. it seems like the colors are just to make it easier to differentiate
the length of the bar is just a percentage of that player's dps compared to the top dps of the encounter
