It does boost XP rewards for whatever the roulette makes you fight, which can be almost as good depending on your dungeon.

In that case, some things I might suggest are these from Pasdevillet, Mestonnaux, and Frine in the Ishgard marketplace:
Rubber (appears often in boot recipes of all levels)
Tallow Candle (semi-common in furniture)
Beef Stew and Dzemael Gratin (cheap and fairly decent gathering food)
All four orchestrion rolls (some people don’t realize that orchestrion rolls on the MB can be bought for vendors and will pay extra for them. But be careful and don’t buy too many in case people catch on)

The advice about the orchestrion rolls can also be said for the ones found in the starting city-states, along with maybe the minions

if you want to get both poetics and a lot of experience, then the Main Scenario roulette is excellent for both. It has the Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium duty which are pretty easy to do

Fourth floor: Weapon + Chest + Random single weapon + Mount + Minion

Loot Rules: Following each weekly reset, every player has a chance to obtain loot from the Savage encounters of the current raid tier. Upon clearing each floor, you will obtain 1 book specific to that fight (e.g. Book of Anamorphosis) and a chance to roll on the loot from that floor. Regardless of if you obtained loot from your weekly clear, you will be barred from rolling on loot from the same encounter until the next weekly reset.

Entering an encounter before clearing the previous floor(s) will relinquish all rewards from previously uncleared floors. A macro cannot be queued, it will simply go horribly wrong. So you have to consciously wait until you're sure the GCD has rolled over before pressing a macro for it to work consistently.
