Well the game introduces you to its various systems a little a time. And if there's anything you don't understand you can ask us here. For the community aspect of it, you can be as social as you want to be. If you'd rather play somewhat solo you can. There is mandatory multiplayer stuff, such as dungeons, but there is automated matchmaking for most of it and you don't have to talk in them if you really don't want to, but the community is generally pretty friendly and welcoming to new comers.
