I'm really torn apart rn.
I started FFXIV and hated the early game. It was one of the worst new player experiences I've ever had, because I don't like reading alot of texts as my brain is really mushy after working.
However, I've managed to play til Heavensward, and the combat became good. Like, really good.
I leveled another class and did tons of dungeons. The friendly community, well thought dungeons - I had a blast.
When my second job was on the level where I should continue MSQ, I picked it up again. I played for the last two days and again - I'm super bored. Not because the story is bad or anything, but it takes alot to get me hooked after work.
Now I don't know what to do anymore. I need to do MSQ, but I hate it. Other MMOs are dull after experiencing FFXIV midgame dungeons and the community in general. All my friends dropped FFXIV because they couldn't be motivated to do 300+ hours of questing.
But still I don't want to quit. FFXIV is special, and it got me hooked...damn 😦 Should I skip Stormblood and hop straight into Shadowbringers? I know it's a sin, but how bad is it actually? And is there a possiblity the devs will overhaul the new player experience at some point, so my friends don't need to do ARR and every single expansion?

This is a personal sort of question because it depends on what you like, but for me, getting home from work and doing a couple MSQ quests became a sort of relaxing ritual. I can definitely relate to how horrible the early game experience was, I had to go through ARR before it was trimmed down, and it was genuinely bad. I'm not sure where you are in Stormblood(?) right now, but maybe if you go a bit further you will find a plot thread that sucks you right back in? There are some really fun arcs in there.

You can easily solo most lv50 Extremes for easy mounts iif you are 70+.

Hi! Not sure if others have experience this issue or not but could use some help. I've asked my FC members and no one knows how to help me. Sometimes when I am trying to emote at someone, my camera/character will reposition itself, but the emote will cancel. The repositioning happens when I type in chat as well. It doesn't happen all the time but enough to be quite annoying.
Another thing I have noticed is if my character is facing a different direction than my camera (whether or not I am targeting anyone/anything else) my character will automatically reposition to match the camera's direction on text entry, cancelling any emotes.
Anyone had this issue/know how to fix it?
I feel like there is probably a setting I need to disable somewhere, but I haven't been able to find anything that makes a difference

alright a question on matoyas relic final Boss. i ran with this party doing expert, i've been putting the mud ball thingy's off to the side, but apparently the wait i was positioning was putting the healer in a pickle to grab me. the tank thinks if we went to the center that somehow it would put the healers trouble free, but my question is how is still possible to avoid getting damage when those balls come?
