Tanks keep boss facing away. DPS kills hour glass adds when they come up. Everyone faces away when it's casting Mortal Gaze. Dodge aoes. That's pretty much it.

Level 50 job quest if you haven't yet. Legacy of Allag in Mor Dhona as it's required later anyway. A Recurring Problem in the Waking Sands is also required later. You can do both now if you want or wait until the game tells you to go do them.

Flying in expansion zones is unlocked via aether currents, the game will explain this when you get to that point. For now you can't do anything about them.

For now the free flying for ARR zones will cover you.
