This is weird, but try changing to your combat class. I see some videos of other people doing it as combat instead of crafter. And one post from someone saying it didn't work on crafter for them, but did on dragoon.

So because im probably dumb and haven’t had to worry about it before, if you change a window box size on one HUD setting and then switch to a different one, does the Size of the window stay the same between the 2 of them? I’ve been working on my HUD for awhile trying to make a “4k version” setting and a slightly “60fps” setting for the ps5 beta version. but even if i go and change the appropriate settings i figured out with the new format alot of it then blows up too big again on the lower graphic setting. Is there a way to solve this or it’s just kinda boned and i have to stay with 1 graphic setting to not constantly have to change window sizes?

The PS5 Controller I have (which has worked in the past) no longer works for FFXIV, as of a 2-3 patches ago.
- It does work for normal steam games. (using Sekiro as reference)
- It did work in the past with FFXIV perfectly fine.
- No longer works with FFXIV at all.
I either get next to no input working, can't move camera, character, etc. (select seems to work sometimes to target the chat box or myself)
Or I get partial input where I can move the mouse in game (but not my character) and the camera, and some face buttons worked.
This morning after reinstalling steam, I had it so it worked a little more than either cases above--but my character would NOT stop moving in circles, even when using my Keyboard WASD to move, with the controller plugged in/enabled.

I was unaware the Ps5 controller would have issues like this, since the Steam beta has support for it.
It does still work flawlessly with single player games.
And ironically despite never owning a Playstation myself, I prefer the PS5 controller design and feel over any of the Xbox ones.

Going to reopen another game to test, but the issue, as far as XIV goes, the joysticks might be messed up.
all the buttons are currently doing what they're supposed to (open map, jump, main menu, etc)
But my character keeps running in circles and the camera is spinning (idk if thats from the character running in circles or the other analog stick because switching the movement and camera in the settings doesn't change that it seems).
And when I go to calibrate in game one of the joysticks keeps flickering even though I am not touching the controller. this was happening, while the controller is just sitting on my desk. (that error message is repetitively going on and off.

So right now all of the buttons do what they need to.
But my character is still moving on their own, and the left joystick will let me ever so slightly move the character--but they still take off on their own and I can't really control the character.

I think the only way I can explain it is it's like I'm trying to play with the controller, and someone is taking my mouse and spinning it all over to make the character/camera do whatever it wants.
Right now it's pretty tame, because I made it so the left stick controls camera not character

So I think the issue is purely XIV.
Which is afaik, the only game with actual PS5 controller support.
(again I also had this working before, it just stopped working randomly, a few patches ago)

The only other thing I can think of, and I don't know if this is possible, is disable PS5 controller support, but not all controller support, and let Steam remap it to xinput controls.
Otherwise maybe contact support and see if they can help since the game is supposed to support it

general tldr for crafting hq stuff is 1. activate Inner Quiet 2. get IQ stacks by using cheap quality increase skills 3. use great strides + byregot's blessing to spend the stacks for a billion quality, while keeping durability above 0

I've got it to the point every button works, but the game is reading my Left Stick weirdly and it's constantly spinning the camera (or player).

hello, i know if im playing on the free trial that i cannot create a party. however my friend plays this game (pays for it) and he created a party and invited me. I was able to accept. Yet now in the party menu he is showing up as all ??? and we cannot select each other or do anything
if im using free trial does this mean i can't even party with my friend to try and play together at all unless i pay?
