If you mean the one in the cathedral, you can drop down onto the ledge above the one with the spot and then drop down again because it's at an angle. So just land on the bit of wall and drop down carefully

yes tank-swaps are a thing in this game, not super prevalent in normal mode content but in more difficult stuff its there. paladin has a lot of supporting tools but doesn't have built-in sustain in its standard gcd rotation so it sees a lot more play as an "off-tank"
this doesn't mean you can't tank a boss with it but the real distinction between main/off is just who pulls the boss/ is controlling the boss at any given time
