It all starts with one job. And you finish the msq, and learn the endgame flow, and get geared, then you're like.... Man I want to be a samurai. So you do that. Then you're like, hey let's try out crafting.... And some gathering to support it.

I would recommend completing ARR msq then so you can start HW and get access to Ishgard. You can pick up 3 new jobs there (DRK, MCH and AST) which all start at lvl 30
So you can dump your xp there

But if it was recently killed, there's also a reset time.

Materia are just extra stats, but you replace gear so quickly as you level, there's no reason to focus on anything other than the ones for endgame - the level VII and VIII materia which you can't get until you're into endgame.

This is more of a technical question but.... I have two game windows up. Usually they're fine but sometimes one of the windows will start having very long load times and very low FPS while the other window with the same display settings is still running at 70+ fps. Only way I can get it to resolve is by restarting the client.

The haste is more a "If you're going to be doing the content THIS much it helps a lot". You don't seem to need it to do a relic or two. But if you're doing a ton of them, it definitely makes a different.
Having done... lessee... all classes to recollection, 2 to Augmented Law's Order, and 6 more to regular Law's Order, I can tell you by pure feel it's definitely an impact. Particularly whne using Bloodsucker or beast.
