Yeah it has summon for constant heals but afaik you can’t tell it who to heal at any given time and the ogcds are either long cd or reliant on job gauges which also has 60s cd per 3 charges. It just feels really underwhelming to play and I often find myself struggling to keep people alive when solo healing

as long as you're casting succor before people take damage and not after it shouldn't be an issue
you also have fey blessing, whispering dawn and fey illumination, dissipation etc
scholar just requires a bit more knowledge of the fight to play because you need to do things preemptively rather than wait for people to take damage and top them up
i wouldn't say it is a worse class, it just requires a different healing mindset imo

I think that’s a fair argument, but considering noct ast has the same kind of “preemptive” play style coupled with highest damage output (at least according to fflogs) and the fact that ast has the only pure damage boost among the healers (both cards and divination) it just seems to me like sch is an overall inferior choice
