Yeah, queuing directly for a lower level dungeon and giving it a go is a good way. You can gradually work your way up the benchmarks. Start with a 30, move up to a 50, etc
You can also do your Hall of the Novice for healer.
It'll teach you some basics

usually, what our party does, we drop our puddles, go north or west for tank and healer, wether the boss is facing either north or west, then after we get tethered, go to the other side from north to south, west to east

I am not quite sure, most of them were quite equal in difficulty, e12s was the hardest in the end.
e9s is the worst when it comes to caster uptime though.

I think Steam and Squenix licenses aren't compatible. If you bought the game on Steam, buy the complete edition on Steam. That being said, unless you have poured money into your Steam license, it might be better to switch to standalone.

No. The Steam and PC version of the game are incompatible. If you own the game on Steam, you will not be able to activate the PC version on the same account.

Aim your tether towards the first or third meteor tower, since it goes off at the same time as the second tower. Otherwise, just don't hit any other dps or healer with it.

can someone help me read the map.. so i go to go to that bit in uldah... but where is point leading me too.. its just outside the map zone, and there's no arrows to guide me so i feel lost.
I have a few points where i need to go somewhere but the map's labels make no sense at first glance. like i was doing hunting log.. and it said go to this point on the map... then i went there only to find out the bit it wanted me to go was on the entire other side of a blocked section of the map. only accidentally finding it when exploring and seeing the you entered location popped up.

When you have a flag like that, it's an indicator that you need to go to the named zone.

If it's in a different "instance" area, there won't be an arrow on your minimap.
However if you use the "Map" button in your quest journal to show you where the objective is, it will pull up the area's map where you can see the zone information on the left side.

Ishgard crafting requires items from outside of ishgard.
you can use your gathering log to find out where to find the respective items.
all ishgard items are named "Grade (number) XYZ"

Sheathing is done to prevent auto attacks. Meditation won't let u auto attack

Not entirely accurate advice. The "highest level possible" area isn't always going to be the most efficient, depending on enemy respawn rates.

Blu can hit 70 in a few hours with power levelling, other jobs cant

See, there are servers and realms right (or whatever exactly they are called) if I am in Chaos server and in Cerberus realm, what things can I do and what things I cant do with other realms?

Chaos is the data center so you can visit/interact with any servers in that data center

@leaden ginkgo you can use the world visit system at any aetheryte to travel to other servers within your data centre (chaos)
and all duty queues pull from every server on your data centre
the only things you can't do on other servers in your data centre are access retainers, firmament and timed gathering nodes, afaik
oh, and FC stuff.

can someone explain duty finder to me please? so on the rouletter page it has 'levelling' and 'guildhests'. levelling picks a random thing, and gives you a reward only once? can i do duty finder on all my classes (eg just did random levelling dungeon with thm, can i go and do it again as cnj?)

and then the next tab is the dungeons. and that's just basically regular party finder, and whatever class you are at time of registering is what you go in as. but they're standard and you'll get the exp but as normal from them.

generally if you are doing dungeons for exp you do leveling roulette once and then select the highest-level dungeon you have access to

now adventurer-in-need bonuses can be earned multiple times per day as long as you have the right role when you enter the queue

But generally speaking, the AiN bonus isn't really worth it unless you're looking for like, bonus GC seals.
Or if you're level 80, it will give you the stellaclusters you need to buy rank 8 materias.
