where some tankbusters will cleave so the offtank shouldn't be in front with the main tank

I have this problem with targeting. So, I was fighting some Ixali and I was targeting the chief of them and fighting him. But then I wanted to fight a different one so a targeted to a regular Ixali, but every time I did and attack on the regular one (secondary target) it would auto re-lock onto the chieftain. So every hit, I would have retarget to the regular Ixali.

Sounds like you got soft targetting on

Character config and its something, forget exactly where but the option is called "turn Target circle into Target select"

For most of the zones it's 5 quest ones (one will be MSQ) and 10 found in the zone.

Pho you can try to uninstall and reinstall the game but I would recommend trying to clean uninstall graphics drivers first and reinstall them, making sure to do a custom install and avoiding installing any extra crap that may come with it. Also turn off any and all overlays from discord, steam, Xbox, etc
