I'm trying out SAM and I'm confused when I should use enpi or if I should even use it at all

You use enpi when for whatever reason you can't get close to the boss
Except you also don't want to do it if it'll break your combo or if you can get back into melee within a gcd
So for example if there was some sort of mechnic in a raid fight that meant I couldn't be near the boss for several seconds I'd probably spam enpi at it

once guides and stuff come out for DR, the main difficulty is going to be finding a group lol. in that case i recommend joining your data center's Eureka/Bozja discord to find a group. normally someone thats very good at callouts can basically carry the entire thing (that was the case with BA anyway, i expect DR to operate very similarly)

so there's some pieces of gear in ARR that have lnc/drg as jobs that can wear it, but they aren't actually intended to be for lnc/drg

This is late, but as a fellow free trial player I've been doing the supply and provision stuff at the Grand companies to level up the crafting and gathering stuff. At the lower levels, almost everything is buyable from whatever npc market stall, maybe needing to teleport to a crafting places specific store, like goldsmith for mining stuff. Much better then wasted gil from hitting the cap. It works until like the 20 for most thing s, and up to like 40 for anything that makes weapons or armor.

I've done full MSQ on 2 accounts and I personally can attest, 3 shotting quest mobs don't help me parse at all. The only long fights you're usually playing as a memory of another character.
If you're in ARR/HW I would recommend a story skip if you hate it. If you're past HW, it isn't that bad.

There's also some content that unlocks pretty late (in the level 60 MSQ) that makes leveling up a crafter/gatherer class faster and easier, but it doesn't apply to combat classes

junkmongers basically sell similar items to guild vendors (i.e low level crafting materials and dark matter), menders repair your gear, salvagers are just like the calamity salvager in any of the 3 starting cities (sell quest specific rewards, etc), materia melder can meld your gear (visible slots only), steward sells furnishings that are on most of the npc housing district vendors

nightsteel/black willow crafted weapons (lvl70) share models with the zodiac brave stage (aka the 2nd to last step) they just have no glow/different colour scheme

I have yet to get any memories from CEs so far but apparently that's not a guaranteed drop so I am not sure whether it's bad luck

i just did some researhc and it turns out my account got hacked so square enix suspended it. im just really mad that i didnt get an email or anything explaining how or why this happened. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR7bhxVDvJU&ab_channel=Lucron i got a similar whisper as you see 45 secs into this video from a person i didnt know, its the second time this happened and i clicked on the name to see if i could block them somehow cuz it was getting annoying but it said i lost connection to the server. i tried restarting ffxiv and it said error 2002 cant connect to the server, then i restarted my pc and it said that the account doesnt exist or something along those lines so i got really scared and imidietly went into mogstation and it said my account was suspended.
