Cause there were spelleffects everywhere, everything died so fast and my friends did so many "aoe" abilities on the ground that I couldnt see anything and I was unsure what I could stand in or not and I'm a lancer so havent seen any abilities like that before, at the last boss they spammed in chat that I should use limit break and I checked my bars twice and I dont have anything like that, they became mad I have no idea what I did wrong for not using it

@wraith sierra ground aoes that are yellow are casted by enemies and should be avoided. as for limit break, go to actions -> general. Limit break is a shared resource by the party, and does different things depending on what role uses it. You can hover over the ability for more details.

How do I unlock melding?

Complete Forging the Spirit (materia extract/npc melding) and Waking the Spirit (player melding) in Central Thanalan.

How can I get my gear melded?

To meld visible Materia slots a NPC melder in any major city will do (marked with a Blue Materia icon on the map). To overmeld gear you'll need to request another player to meld your gear or to do it yourself.

Why can't I meld this Materia to my stuff?

Every Tier of Materia has a minimum item level requirement that gear must meet to allow melding of that Tier. Tier 6 Materia requires an item level of 290 while Tiers 7 and 8 require an item level of 420.

Why is my meld giving +0 stats?

Every item has a maximum amount of stats that can be given through melding and the natural stats found on the gear. This can be seen at the bottom of the Materia Melding menu, as seen in the picture below.

The secondary stat with a higher number is already at the cap and cannot be further melded.

Hey, I need to ask and since my question is very specific and targeted, I will also give an example to make it easier. Prepare for a huge tldr

Did they fixed the issue where if you get kicked from a party midway/end pre-boss in dungeon/instance, you get booted out completely without a reward? Example: I go, in an instance with a group of people. We fight and clear our way up to the last boss. Before we start the last boss I am getting kicked out of the party. Am I going to go back in the instance selection and waiting for another instance WITHOUT any reward or am I going to get instantly picked up by another party that is doing the same/similar instance, thus, be able to claim a reward for finishing an instance at least?

It's "aetherial" which just means it has some extra bonus stats on it.

It's not a big deal.

They phased out aetherial quality gear after Heavensward.

You said you're a Conjurer, right?

That means the gear you want is Canes (for your weapon) and anything flagged as being "Disciples of Magic".

You have to do them because they're part of the story. You'll be doing a dungeon or other instance every couple of levels. for the entire game.

Some actions that advance progress have bonus if its the first action you use. Or they just advance too much the progress and you dont want to finish it yet for continuing advancing quality, so use that to avoid finishing the crafting yet.

You wanna do that to save some duration (the square slots) without finishing the crafting yet.

What I use is Great Strides after Inner Quiet, then if I dont have Good or Excellent, I do Basic Synthesis, unless Great Strides is in last turn so I use Basic Touch, If I get Good or Excellent I use Precise Touch.
It has helped me so far to have HQ in almost everything (but I'm only at lvl 60).
