actually attempting to fit 3 offglobals into a single GCD will always clip your GCD

there is a single high-end tech for smn which asks you to do this but that's related to Phoenix being a moron

yes, you should always keep your GCD rolling

so healers do not have to stare at the party members HP and babysit it

unlike say WoW

where people randomly take damage from autoattacks

can't honestly say, but for my two penneth - i tried to pick up the game because my friends liked it, and I couldn't make it past like, level 14 if that. I tried it again on a fresh face another time, and I managed to get over a hump and ended up not being able to put it down thanks quarantine

1. just accept early ARR is a lot of world building because you can't tell a good plot without explaining the world in which it takes place in and just take on the chin knowing it pays off later.
2. stop thinking about the expansions. If you keep going through ARR to do the expansions because you heard they are good you'll never enjoy ARR because ARR is long and you'll always just be annoyed you aren't at the expansions even if the ARR is good at that point in time @icy spindle

consider that DRK will require you to be in level 50+ MSQ to unlock, but that is the only one with that barrier

gnb will only require one combat job at level 60 and to own shadowbringers

Mounts FAQ

'When can I get my first mount?'

The quest that allows you to use mounts, 'My Little Chocobo' is unlocked by completing the level 20 main story quest 'The Company You Keep'. The quest is located at the Grand Company base you chose and you'll need to buy the Chocobo Issuance from your Grand Company Quartermaster. You can get the 200 needed Grand Company seals by doing the main story quest that comes after 'The Company You Keep'.

'Are there any differences between mounts?'

Besides looks, all mounts are the same speed along with being able to fly. Some mounts allow multiple people to ride at once.

'Can I make my mount faster?'

Zones have one or two ranks of mount speed that increase the ground speed of mounts. The first rank comes from completing specific quests in the main scenario quests, with the second rank coming from Riding Maps which are bought with either Allied Seals, Centurio Seals, or Bicolor Gemstones. Mount Speed Boosts do not increase the flying speed of mounts.

A really simple way to make you understand tank:

• Remember to use your mitigation during enemy pulls (Rampart, Reprisal, Arm's Length. Look them up in your skills by pressing P)
• Keep track of the aggro on the enemies you pull, making sure they're focusing you and not your fellow party members.
• Remember to spam your aoe ability during large packs (3+ enemies in your case)
