Ah, looks like there are 2nd phase achievements, those being the expert craft turn-ins.

It's unknown if the achievements will stay as this is the first time we've had phase-related achievements for the Firmament.

If they do, then you just need to buy the old materials off the marketboard.

You can make your L2/R2 stuff toggle not hold (the default is hold)

This way you can just tap L2/R2 once and keep the crosshotbar active, so you just need to press dpad or face button to use skill.

Personally, I recommend keeping your weaponskill/spell on the face button, and your ability on the directional button, which sounds like what you are doing atm

So if you have a lvl 42 Warrior, then your Warrior retainer can only go up to lvl 42

for botanist/miner, leveling is pretty straight forward. 1-10 can just do gathering log, and your class quests. If you've done the main scenario to or past "The Litany of peace", you can unlock the ishgard restoration to do diadem

which is a pretty lazy and easy way of gathering. its just basically running around diadem in laps gathering items

How do I get Grand Company Seals?

Once you are Sergeant 2nd Class you can turn in Pink/Green/Blue-rarity gear in for more seals.

Second off, before buying a subscription, look into the RAF system. There's a whole subreddit of people offering RAF codes because it's mutually beneficial. When you apply a RAF code to your account, you get a bunch of freebies, including a free emote, special currency, and a XP boost headpiece that's huge.

Buy stuff you like. I recommend the hairstyles because more hairstyles are cool, but so are the emotes. If you want to make Gil, you could sell the dyes on the MB I guess.

Culinarian is the best if you don't want to do any others, because it's not reliant on other crafters.

Weaver is also super annoying to level up. There are two materials you're gonna need for everything. Raw cotton and diremite webs. And you're gonna need a million of each
