HQ gear is usually statted correctly for the item level they are labelled

whereas NQ gear is much lower stat in comparison

HQ materials will also make your crafting efforts to make things HQ much easier as well, though they are not a necessity

the value is judged based on your own needs/circumstances

'What is Glamour and how do I unlock it?'

Glamour is the process of changing an equipment's look into a different item with the use of Glamour Prisms. You can unlock the ability to glamour by doing the level 15 quests 'If I Had a Glamour' in Vesper Bay, West Thanalan. Although not required, you can unlock the ability to dye gear with the nearby quest 'Color Your World'. You can get the Orange Juice needed by talking to the nearby Merchant & Mender. Items used for glamouring are not lost upon use.

'How do I glamour? Where do I get more Prisms?'

Glamouring is done by right-clicking (Square or X on controllers) on the equipment you want to glamour and choosing the option 'Cast Glamour'. After clicking this you choose the item you want the appearance on the right half of the menu that opened up. You can get more Glamour Prisms by either crafting them after completing the quest 'Absolutely Glamourous', buying them from your Grand Company Quartermaster, or buying them from the marketboard.

about the tank jobs, All are viable in every pieces of endgame content. i main WAR, but GNB is easily my 2nd most used tank now, the rotation is slightly more involving, can feel faster paced. i agree to the earlier comment where it can feel more like you play a dps. But as a personal opinion, it also feels a little squishier than other tanks

Tanks get less and less common the closer to 80 you get, because all the people trying GNB for their first tank end up dropping it rather quick

After I apply a plate to a class and update my character, when I switch back to it later ita not applying the right glams and saying glamours could not be restored
