Make sure both are evenly tightened, if not it won’t have even pressure and thus you’ll get odd heat spots

I have a D14 so I know it’s kind of clunky to install specially if the board is already in the case

So if you had to slide to around a lot to get the screw holes to line up with the threads it could’ve compromised the thermal compound

Those chips are known to run pretty hot and as bidori said above stress tests for a long time usually create more heat

Check task manager and watch the performance tab

Turbo clocks run in stages

The highest turbo frequency will come on and hold until it’s not thermally viable to do so and will go down slightly

If it’s actually overheating it will kick in protections and significantly downclock itself

My soundbar remote is a pretty good size. It's not the little 2 inch ones, it's about half the size of a normal TV remote so it fits next to it okay.

The only issue I have is my soundbar has detachable satellite speakers that you can use for rear channels when watching movies, but they "lose connection" and discharge randomly sometimes. Known issue with the JBL 9.1 so hopefully it can be fixed with firmware updates

if that ends up being an issue, i'd probably look into buying an AIO liquid cooler since those generally dont have that issue in these types of motherboards

Yeah, so LTT installed the D15 in the Fractal Torrent Nano, it clears. Then someone on Reddit confirmed the D15 fits the Z690-I only if you pull off the m.2 heatsink and run just 1 m.2. That's why I got her a 2TB since I originally was going to grab her a 500TB boot drive and a 1TB Steam drive.

as far as tower/air coolers i would recommend scythe fuma 2 for the $60 category, and vetroo v5 for a budget cooler (which I use and agree with reviews that the mounting kinda sucks but it does the job)
