but you can injection mold plastic into much thinner shapes so you don't use as much of it for a similarly robust product

and you can make diffuser-type glass without surface grinding as well, it's just that fluorites tend to be brittle as shit and are very hygroscopic

it's a big waste to take a super polished glass surface and put a 60 grit finish on it post-manufacturing

LED used to be discrete surface mount devices that got soldered to the PCB, which limited how much power they could handle because of heatsinking and trace widths

chip on board designs are closer to how CPUs are designed where the LED is mounted to its own substrate and you supply power directly

lower the clock speed of the memory if it's a big concern, there's really not much you can do to guarantee you'll get lower temps

it's a known thing for the memory chips to run hot so much so that they brought back active backplates for the 3090 so your best bet would be to watercool it if you really want to drop temps

to get a better idea of steps though you'd have to do some serious research on things people have done, not like your average person buying these cards will pay attention to these things or modify them

It’s usually 2 small bolts on the terminals that clamp it to the posts and then on the battery plate there is usually a small retaining bracket to hold the battery in place. Probably a 10mm. I’d use a wrench instead

Depending if the clamps are the side post ones or the top post you might need 2 wrenches, one to hold the bolt and the nut or it’ll just spin freely

Most places that sell batteries will install it for you for free though
