i moved xiv from a drive to another, on steam side of things everything is fine, run an integrity check and starts the launcher fine but on launcher, it starts a 42gb download. is it normal/his own file check? i can let it run but wanted to double check first

Steam file check only runs for the launcher it won’t scan the game files themselves

If it keeps trying to redownload the game you might have to delete your documents directory contents (the ffxiv) folder (back it up first) and then let it fix that and then you should hopefully be good otherwise use the ffxiv quick launcher

I was thinking of them running zoom on the tablet output to the TV and put the tablet in front of the TV for the webcam, then maybe a bluetooth mic or something with them at the couch. Otherwise honestly, they only use the computer for that sort of thing these days, so I could just move the PC to the living room and set it up there.

I'll be buying a dynamic mic soon and I can give them my old condenser mic on a mic stand at the couch

For MMOs I could never go back to using two side buttons

So instead of just having 12 keys with the modifier on the side for CRTL You can have 24

and it completely wipes out my config

on my PC

is there a way to change where FFXIV stores the config files

or a way to have onedrive stop syncing it?
