Slowly runs down the electrodes and a cheap low capacity battery will eat shit pretty quickly

Generally there are some case-mounted USBs connected to an internal header on the motherboard, along with the ones on the back of the motherboard. Many motherboards also have an extra internal USB header or two for mounting a backplate with more USB on one of the addon card slots
There are also PCIe addon cards with USB that don't need a header at all. And lastly, you could simply get a USB hub that adds more USB ports
They work like a surge protector where you plug it into the wall and it has like 6 extra plugs etc.

Plus whatever ones are on the front of the case. As I was saying since its a wireless signal, the metal of the case will interfere with the signal somewhat, so depending on how strong the dongle is you may want it on the front instead of hiding in the back.

people can't do that here, the NTU/NTD is provided by a 3rd party, its not owned by the house owner, it hands off as ethernet for your own router to connect to.
if someone pulls it off the wall and damages it or the fibre in any way, they are liable to pay for a reinstall (and wait possibly weeks for them to come out). and you can't just connect another device to the fibre coming in.

if your drive was bad it would still get video output
a PC can still boot without a working HDD
but if the bios is bad, graphics card is completely bad or CPU/MEM is bad then you will get a black image and it wont boot
being it got past CPU thats probably fine, why it didnt light up RAM/MEM I dunno but thats a good place to check first and then remove your graphics card and see if that posts then
remove 1 ram stick at a time
