You're getting it from both sides, essentially. Nvidia is trying to sell synthetic frames as a real framerate boost, meanwhile developers or publishers are releasing unfinished garbage that requires DLSS to get tolerable FPS.

Although I have to say my framerates in Remnant2 have been excellent, so it seems they didn't skimp like so many recent games.
