And better
baking is a scientific process ma'am
no
i accidentally signed out of prime video my family and i pay halfs on and im not the owner

why would you microwave a bagel over toasting it
yo my wife made me bagels toasted under the grill, but she melted cheddar, double gloucester and brie on them
fuck me that's tasty
im coming over
you're rough without being warm
i'm not watching a 30 second clip
oh joy another windows 11 update (fixes shitty game performance from debug symbols being left in)
my attention span is 7 seconds

american ISPs fucking suck ass
supposed to be getting 1Gbps but instead i'm getting 240ish all the time these days
I only get 80 down............
i want my canadian internet back π
was cheaper for 1Gb and was unlimited without paying extra per month for it

I'm getting 35 atm, should be 40 but I cba to deal with support
unlimited costs an extra 100 usd per month
Ur old tho shue
otherwise the cap is 1TB
I think fttp is coming to my town this year though
Old people don't know the diff between internet speeds
lmfao
I strongly disagree
Y'all just do crosswords and wordle
i couldn't figure out where to play it lol
i didn't try too hard though tbf

Which one is the correct way of doing it? The 2nd or 3rd picture?
GPU usually doesn't need a power supply plug yeah? Just the motherboard
Or this one is for the GPU??
My power supply previously was not full modular, no idea how to plug into the psu
GPU usually does need power, unless it's very low end
and it's too hard to guess from those pics, you should read the manuals
your motherboard and gpu manuals will
if you have eps (8 pin) that's usually better than old 4 pin but depends on the mobo setup
usually atx1 refers to the main 24 pin connector
feels like something missing in general picture wise
vga1/2 are the gpu power plugs
looks like eps so the one block of 8 to cpu, and the pair of 4 pin to mobo
it's split for older motherboards that only have 4 pin extra power
yeah 1050 is weak enough that pcie can supply enough power
if there's no obvious plug fitting on the gpu it's fine
its fuckin an Australia exclusive
#11 is a ford expedition

what the hell are they smoking
iSeeCars analyzed over two million cars produced and sold for at least 10 of the past 20 model years, ranking each model by its highest mileage-achieving cars. All 20 models had at least 2.5 percent of the top-ranking 20 models clear 200,000 miles, and the top 1 percent of these vehicles delivered between 230,000 and 297,000 miles over the last two decades. For example, 1% of Toyota Sequoias on the road have at least 296,509 miles on the odometer.
I wonder how they get the highest mileage records
you know what, I think I know how/why toyotas rule this list
what this list really is, is a list of cars most likely to be driven to high miles and still serviced at the dealer
when viewed that way it makes perfect sense
because farmer joe driving a clapped out s10 to 680k miles never took his truck to the dealer
the fact that #1 is a toyota sequoia screams it loudly
who the hell buys a toyota sequoia
nobody,
yeah built on that new truck platform
hmm actually surprised
boy thats been a real shit show
im in a tundra facebook grip
that kinda ruins my point
so many quality control issues
trim pieces literally falling off
the cameras on the mirrors keep falling out
dash rattles
gee what happened?
is it just that they're only good at making simple cars?
and not fancy ones full of features?
no idea, I thought toyota was pretty strict with suppliers and shit but I guess due to covid its been hard to find good talent
to... be... fair
I would have a hard time trusting anything built after 2020
especially 2021 model year vehicles
they probably had parts supply until like june-october-ish of 2020, so when the 2021s started being made
i wonder how many 2021-2022 F-150s spent their first year sitting in a field waiting for parts
haha probably full of rust and shit
nah man thats just a cars and coffee /s
I find it hilarious that they wanna charge you 70 grand for a new truck thats been sitting in a field for 6 months waiting on a sensor
god I cant wait for the market to crash
The poster of the images, who has since deleted the photos, claims GM is using a skid loader with a fork attachment and a bulldozer to get trucks out of the mud. While no photos of the forklift or bulldozer were provided, GM-Trucks.com has confirmed from a GM dealer that theyβve been instructed to inspect all inbound HDβs for forklift damage and have noted increased frame rust on trucks stored in the field.
so the real problem here
is that they were cheap and content using old stock parts
and didn't pay any attention whatsoever to the potential parts shortage
until their supply of 10 year old ARM chips dried up
https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/2cb811b832fdb322978d76c09f68bac1.png damn the impala beat out the camry
probably because the latest camry isnt that great
they started making the epsilon 2 version in 2013 and killed it in 2020 when they shut the factory that made everything based on that platform down
now the worst part
Engine 2.4Β L LUK Ecotec I4 eAssist
2.5Β L LKW Ecotec I4
3.6Β L LFX V6
yeah I dont think it sold very well which is a shame, I thought it was a great looking car
1 or 2?
fuckin high feature 3.6 what a turd, I think the newer ones are alright though
Idk where should I face it to
well in that case, it would be blowing the hot air right at the GPU
lol
there isnt enough room to mount the fan
or sucking hot air off the gpu
It has airflow both on top and at the back where the fan is facing
but the way airflow is in most cases
and that is a tight fuckin fit
it doesn't matter if you do 1 or 2, it'll still get plenty of that toasty gpu air
i don't think the fans push enough air to get from the front of the case to the heatsink. now they can exhaust out the back or the top just fine
you might wanna consider moving the GPU to another PCI-E slot if available
you might not even be able to mount the fan lol
i think it'll be fine
yea
1 or 2?. Picture 3 indicates where the airflow is going (I have no idea where it's sucking and blowing)...
No other PCI option is available, so this is the only way. I have no idea that it's considered a tight setup π₯²
Does it matter??
Should the fan blow toward the inside part of the system unit or outside?
fan should blow out, exhaust
suck the heat off the heatsink and yeet it out the back
There's an arrow here just realised, silly..
I guess I'll just face the arrow to the top and rear of the airflow
you can swap that bracket round I believe
Ok
Should I move this front fan to the back?
Which one is more important, front or back?
Picture one is front fan
Or do I need the front one to suck cool air from outside to inside the system unit?
It's worse than that, they did it to themselves. They were using parts on incredibly outdated 130-180nm nodes that were only kept active due to their orders. When they cancelled the orders in 2020, those companies scrapped the lines finally. So when they came crawling back to them for chips like 6-9 months later, it was too late and they had to commit to qualifying all new parts
200k for a Civic seems low even
Ok I'll just let the intake fan there and buy the rear exhaust fan later
no
put that fan back on the exhaust
where you have it now, it looks like its mounted directly infront of nothing
make sure that sticker is facing outward
Sticker??
Hank that's a different fan
on the fan
leave this alone
that's intake, you're right, suck in cool air at the front
I can't believe I only been running this PC with just 1 intake fan for the past 10 years. I have no idea about airflow back then
Ok
Ok. Planning to upgrade to 6700xt later hehe
Just upgraded the psu first from 500 to 650 πΉ
when you do that you might want more cooling, but what's your cpu
Right now i3 6th generation I think I can't check atm
Did you redo the thermal paste on that thing since it seems ancient?
Redo? I just added a little on top of the previous one

Can thermal paste expire? I think the one I just use now is 10 years old
It's hardened lol
it goes crusty and useless
As long as the tube isnt dried out it should be fine
Aaaaaa
If it is dried out then yeah its ded
You can get a tube of Thermaltake stuff from Best buy for like $8
Guess you didn't cap the end of it before storing?
and a little bottle of isopropyl alcohol
The stuff in that container is all dried up?
Can I use pharmacy alcohol? I remember electronic has their own alcohol
Yeah anything 70-98% is fine, just let it dry afterwards
and anyone could've seen it coming a mile away
but the cheap ass company wanted to minimize R&D
Uh accidentally put microfibre cloth there, now the colour has changed
Is it still ok?
hard to tell but should be fine as long as it's not dirty or manhandled (bent pins)
that paste looks janky to me
what should i test before buying a gpu used for crypto?
Too much? Lol
MUST you buy a used mining card?
uh, hard to tell but I'd buy some new paste
Cuz it really depends
Professional miners who undervolt cards are ?kinda ok?????? But ymmv
I think its a bad idea to
also this doesn't look clipped down right, that bit on the left should be tucked under that screw I think

that paste might be ok, but it looks crusty and maybe too much
gpu cards where i live still high af probably the store can't bring down prices because they bought it during high prices.
Philippines
Can you try buildapc discord?
im in the point of i will buy PNY gpu now since its cheap.
ah good to know i read a mix reviews about PNY so not sure. I'm waiting till next year im hoping AMD can be a game changer.
Got a can of airduster to blow it out just in case?
Yeah I just did it
PNY is very basic bitch. I doubt it would outright fail, but it's very much the least desirable of the western AIBs. Even below Zotac
PNY is the kind of brand I'd be fine buying if it was for a budget build
wouldn't use them for anything high end
Irony is they've had that rep forever, even going back to when all they did was RAM
Now I would say most ppl know them for their thumb drives
pny is ok but it tends to be way overpriced for the quality
my little PNY
Dam, just installing a PSU and it's already more exhausting than going to the gym...
Monitors doesn't turn on, rip..
Aaaaaaa
Do you think this is why it doesn't turn on?
The monitor I mean
PC seetms working ok. But monitor just have orange light
Btw my heat sink fan doesn't seem to be working
Does it always wait till the heatsink is hot?
What's going to happen if the pins is bent?
This is what actually happened
I mean the PC is turned on but the monitor doesn't work
PC is working and has white light
Yeah
what's written next to the white light?
that's not good
This just because i tried to redo that stupid thermal paste
NOOOOOOO

Tbh idk what's going on. None broken pin here
Didn't that photo you show earlier had them bent...
But it's still showing white light debug led π₯²
you have 3 fucked pins
Yeah
I don't have glasses on
Cuz I'm in bed but the earlier photos show bent pins
at least, if not more
Yeah I took a photo again, but doesn't seem to show anything now
if the pins aren't perfect, they mat contact the wrong pads
so CPU wont work, so computer doesn't work
even pins slightly bent, will cause issues
Ahahahahahahahha omg
well, you just need to be very careful about reseating a cpu
What's your cpu again?
Seems like a very dangerous move over such a little gain
you can try and fix the pins with some very fine tweezers
They dropped their microfiber on the socket
Noot I would really not suggest that lol
Yeah it was microfiber cloth
nope
Like absolutely would not
BUT most vendors wont freely warranty replace bent pins
Why did you even take out the cpu
unless things have changed
You don't necessarily have too to wipe off the paste
Had not unfortunately
Ic ic
Still falls under user error
Ok π₯²
unfortunately π¦
Vielen out of curiosity what is your cpu
Let me check
Intel....something
theyt kinda look like they are bent backwards
And the dude put the IHS facing down towards the pins and clamped it down....
oooooof
That was like....5 months ago and they wouldn't take the board rofl
yeah no shit
I can fix like...10 pins max
Before it's futile, personally lol
I use a jewelers visor and a sewing needle
so not advised, but if desperate and know the vendor wont fix it
you need a Very steady hand, and fine tweesers, and some kinda scope to zoom in while you are working on it, makes it easier
board repair shops do it, but i wouldn't advise the average person do
Lmfao people call me bubbles
Oh it's gen 7 I thought it's 6
But this PC is very young according to my standard π₯²
you can just straighten the pins out lol
cpu is like 5 years old
I mean
considering theyve been bent straight back, they may snap
there's a good chance this will just make things worse
but what do you have to lose?
its not like its usable
and ive not closely looked at the other pics, not sure if there are more
Didn't think I would upgrade so soon
if you can even buyt a 7th gen mobo
Oof yeah I'm looking at FCLGA1151 pin outs
or just do a full upgrade
That's ddr or vss
idk
Ya yer fucked
I'm planning to upgrade to i512 yeah
But didn't think I have to upgrade soon, rip
Waa I guess back to work laptop
Will my GTX 1050 work with i512600f?
Ya smack dab in the important bits
yes, there is no cpu compabiltity for graphics cards
Not sure how it works, or do I need to upgrade the GPU as well?
an older will work with a newer motherboard
Ok ok
well, at least not in this case, you can keep it
Peep my friend running a sick ass 1030 with his 9900k
if you get a DDR4 based motherboard, you can probably keep your RAM
Shits fucked
so really only technically need to replace, the cpu and mobo
Newest is ddr4 or 5?
ddr5 is newest
Ok I'll stay 4. 5 seems pretty rare still
Well you can just replace the motherboard
No reason to replace the CPU if it's fine
i can't find any at my local retailers
for a 7th gen compatible
if you want new
maybe someone has it
otherwise, ebay
I'm biased cuz I still have inventory of my 1151 collection
eBay is fine if you need a cheap fix
need a compatible mobo for a LGA 1151 socket
Buyer protection is OP there
Slowly but surely I'm thinking about switching all of my builds to that weird Phase change Honeywell material everyone is talking about
i3 7100s work with b150, h110m, z170, z270, h170, b250
PTM7950? I think
yeah so not just any lga1151 board, needs one made for 7th gen
Going to figure out a good supplier and test it out
From everything I've seen and heard it's basically better then normal thermal paste
But less effective then Liquid metal
ugh
It'll save me so much time if I can just slap it on CPUs lol
cheapest working board i found is 65 new? i think? that's silly
Also I've been considering liquid metal for my next pc
But given how fucked sff PCs are I'm not sure I want too lol
So if I can use something that is juuussst under LM but better then paste...why not
https://www.newegg.com/p/pl?N=100007627 601409932 4814 4131&Order=1
have a look here, if you want to try and just get a replacement motherboard, and replace nothing else,
you may even find the exact same motherboard you already have.
if you wanna look somewhere else, make sure its an intel 100 or 200 series chipset
willing to upgrade, but confused on what to choose πΉ
how about gigabyte brand for motherboard
are they ok?
micro atx is ok?
performance wise, is there any pros and cons for micro and normal atx?
im just afraid my chonky heatsink fan won't fit
This thing π₯²
Well unless you count ram clearance but of you are using prexisting ram it's fine
if im planning to get rx 6700xt in the future, will my new gpu fit?
Also that's a tinnnnyy heatsink
just from my 1050 itself, it's already packed like that
Pcie slot is basically standarised it'll be like that
The only thing that'll effect spacing is the case
Notice how the pcie slot is in the same spot
ok how about if I want to upgrade from 2 monitors to 4 monitors, does it only requires GPU change or?
mobo as well?
GPU outputs
would you recommend me getting micro atx or standard?
Personal choice
there's no performance difference between these brand and type differences right? just how many slots it have for memory, gpu, etc
I only build SFF
what's SFF? π₯²
Small form factor
I use mini itx most of the time
That black box is my pc, soda cans for scale lol
oh I bought my parents intel nuc the other day, I'm guessing it's the same type of mobo? but this one is customised
like higher performance than nuc
I'm not sure, but can this mini atx reach the same performance as the other 2 atx? or does it sacrifice performance for size?
for example using it for video editing and such
hmm interesting
Once again, size basically effects nothing performance wise
Same components
Only thing that would effect perf is inadequate cooling
Because it's smaller you need to plan it out more for better airflow
Otherwise it'll cook itself
do you mind sharing how difference it is? is it that dangerous?
I basically almost exclusively work with sff PCs these days
Wdym dangerous
like if I messed up, it will cook all the components cause not enough space between them
and if 1 fan died, and I didn't notice it, what will happen
I do not recomend a sff for people with very little experience
also I'm guessing my chonky heat sink isn't ideal?
It's a lot more stressful because of routing and stuff
ic ic, how about micro atx?
Computers are smarter then that, if it gets hot it'll just shut itself down
Or slow itself down
It's all how comfortable you are with it
Also sff is a lot more expensive because the parts are designed to be smaller
Here is a budget sff I built for a client recently rodl
Very very little working room
And no your Evo 212 won't fit in most sff cases
Most of us uses custom loops or AIOs
There are low profile air coolers but eh
For beginners I recomend sticking with an ATX case with an ATX or mATX motherboard
Budget efficient and easier to build in
oh yeah I forgot I think my case can't fit micro atx, i ned to look for that as well
mATX will fit in a ATX
Mounting holes and position are standarised as long as it's atx
ok
DisplayPort 1.2
2.5GbE
what are these 2 numbers?
I'm looking at various mobo right now
asrock brand is ok?
I only use ROG and Gigabyte
I'm looking at this right now https://www.amazon.com/ASRock-MicroATX-Motherboard-B660M-HDV-Compatible/dp/B09NZDGH1W
MSI and ASRock are on my personal shitlist for multiple reasons
ok
I'll check out gigabyte
why the 12400f?
cause it's currently on sale
is it a bad cpu?
no, was just curious
That motherboard looks trash
personally on a short budget I would rather go AM4 but
Intel LGA 1700 Socket: Supports 12th Gen Intel Core Series Processors DDR4 Compatible: Dual Channel DDR4, 4 DIMMs Sturdy Power Design: 6+2+1 Phases Hybrid Power Design, Premium Choke and Capacitors, 8-pin Solid Pin CPU Power Connector Comprehensive Thermal Design: M.2 Thermal Guard Next Gen Conne...
how do i determine trash/non-trash mobo? π₯²
That looks more acceptable
Some vrm cooling is big
Historically I've owned a good few ds3h boards and they've been alright

^
let that video guide your motherboard choice
and please tell the person/company you are buying the motherboard from to flash you the latest bios
so that you can have a 13k option to upgrade to down the line
ASRock in a nutshell.
Surprised every manufacturer doesn't have a flashback feature now. So good
ok I got it, as long as it's B660, It will fit my i5 yeah?
any b660 z690 board will
watch the vid and see what is on sale based on what they say
and what you want
I'd rather go am4 tho on a small budget
personal choice
what's am4? π₯²

oh amd
amd platform
i see something like r5 7600x
that is am5
double the price
am5 is too expensive
oh
hmm yeah, a lot of them are on sale, even more than the intel lineup
not sure why, is there any reason?
AM4 is just historically cheaper
5800x3D is honestly such a game changer if you can afford it
yeah unfortunately that's double the price, over budget π₯²
That's alright there's still a ton of processors you can go for
How much are 5600 rn
5600/5600x are my budget CPU options
5600x/5700x price?
5800x?
I would personally go for the 5600x in this case...
$200 AUD for 5600
$260 for 5600x
$299 for 5700x
$399 for 5800X
Just take the 12400F off the table honestly
I just had a good experience with intel hehe
I would choose between the 5600x/5700x
I don't have access to my numbers for my personal benchmarks rn cuz I'm in bed, but I don't remember the difference between the 5600x and the 5700x being that big
5700x just being more consistent iirc
Maybe a 8-10 frame difference
Feel free to chip in nhadala
4:30 am brain rn lol
5700x is better than the 5600x by a few frames
hmm interesting the more expensive option in the b660 video above, B660M D3H Gigabyte is currently on sale and has the same price as the DS3H
π
so would your ecommend getting 5600x?
is there any problem with 5600x to play the SF5/Tekken 7/FFXIV?
what would these games prefer, amd or intel?
Ur main concern should also be the gpu
I do not know about fighters
Or have we already went past that
but there are ff14 benchmarks that I can fetch real quick
FF14 will run on a potato shoved into a microwave and tossed into the fucking sun
It'll be fine lol
also if I'm planning to get RX6700XT in the future, combining AMD CPU and AMD GPU is better yeah?
instead of mixing intel cpu and amd gpu
or there's no difference?
Given that their computer was an i3 with a 1050, they'll be fine
ty ty
No difference
Intel GPUs barely exist and they are all shit.
yeah my pc is having a difficulty recently, i'm doing more difficulty these days, and the boss animation with lowest setting ruin my stable 60 fps
People complain and bitch about AMD GPU drivers, but I think it's over exaggerated
with i3 and 1050
I'd go with the newer intel chip personally
Your basically going from mum's clapped out minivan to a nice Honda civic SI
doesn't matter what you mix and match tbh
but yeah personal advice would be to invest in a better cpu
13600k/5800x3d
ah hmm
8k monitor
so staying with 1050 is ok for xiv?
Ye
assuming you
by upgrading this CPU, will I have 60 fps stable?
1050 is shit tier
Well, true
ah ok, yeah then ill upgrade that next
But it'll work
8gb ddr4 is still ok yeah?
No
16gigs minimum
wow, i'm lacking everything π₯²
Ryzen likes good speed ram
And 16gb minimum these days
ok
Overkill
Well
16 is fine for everyone
what is the maximum budget for all the upgrades?
for everything total
Ngl your old pc is kinda...lacking in everyway
yeah, the game that I used to play didn't require much performance
I3, 1050, 8gb of ram ._.
How viable would it be as a NAS setup?
No
Heh
I can build you a 1k dollar pc for example
yeah
so what is your maximum budget?
not a lot, under 1000 would be nice
and this is aud, not usd, part is more expensive here πΉ
I already chosen 2 piece, gigabyte B660m D3H and Ryzen 5600x
just choosing memory now
How much is left in Budget

any 6600XT/6650XT gpu, 6700XT if its cheap enough in comparison to the 6600xt/6650xt
Great thing is that all gigaboob boards have qflash so bios ain't much of an issue
difference between b450/b550/b550m? there are a lot of gigaboob selection now haha
just age
all of them can support the ryzen cpus
with the latest bios flashed
ofc get one with a decent vrm
my motherboard is 4 years old and I got a 5800x3d, which is prospected to last another 3-4 years, I sure do hope motherboards do not die with age
cheap
yeah
is it good or bad? what's the performance difference? πΉ
cause australia has high salaries
huh weird
and is in the middle of nowhere
double the price = more expensive? lol
Canada is fucking grawful but this is something else
Yesh
b450 can run all ryzen cpus, but make sure you get one with the latest bios flashed and watch a video about b450 board vrms
bios flashed means? what happened if it's not bios flashed? it won't support 5600x?
And if you can't, remember if the board has qflash or whatever is the equivalent you can do it yourself
Just put the file on a USB stick, plug it in and press the button according to the manual
No need for a CPU to be in or anything
^
Honestly one of the biggest reasons why I buy gigabewbs
Qflash is nice for when the vendor fucks up and gives me a none Apu enabled board ._____.
aorus pro and ds3h price difference is almost double ._.
is it that worthed?
or should I just follow your recommendation to go for ds3h
why did you add this one? https://www.newegg.com/global/au-en/deepcool-ak500-zero-dark/p/N82E16835856231
is the current one i'm using is bad or?
late to the convo but you're paying about $30 MSRP more for a letter with the 5600 vs. the 5600X
the deepcool ak500 seems popular? is it necessary for the upgrade?
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/zz4sfv converted to AUD = $1k π₯²
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Radeon RX 6650 XT
what are you currently using
Looks like an Evo 212
meh
Yep
Ak500 is basically the new 212
As in the cooler that you default too if you are on a budget lol
^
go for a 5600 non-x if your budget is tight, there is not much of a difference
ok
5600 is dirt cheap
If you got an am4 bracket for a 212 it'd cool a 5600x ez
Just...
just not that well tbh
^
It'll be better then a 212
if you do not want to spend money on a new cooler
just use the stock one or get an am4 bracket for the 212
It is
I'd be more concerned about noise
I
It's quiet enough speed lol
TOO LOUD
Suffer
stock one is definitely free tho so on a budget use that
I used it for a bit when my am4 bracket was arriving, it's fine if you're on a budget ofc
just go with Noctua brown then
just disable pbo in the bios
wait so I need to buy a new bracket to use my 212? πΉ
yes
yes
Coolermaster may send you one if you email
Noctua is money
Noctua is silly money
yeah it is silly money
the new 212 models are more expensive, like 50$ for nothing
oh right yeah
At that point just get the ak50
better just use the dual tower cooler ak500 then
Not to mention the 212 mounting method belongs in the very depths of hell itself
Cursed ass garbage
yeah, I had a difficulty taking it off..
maybe that's why I broke the pin in the first place π₯² cause I spent too much energy on taking it off
so options are:
- Get an AM4 bracket, send coolermaster an email. (may cost some money)
- Use stock one and disable PBO in the bios(free)
- Get a deepcool ak500 (costs 50$ but its very good)
lik 90$ in aud πΉ
90$ wat
for deepcool
no way lmao
instead of $50
wtf
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, Radeon RX 6650 XT
those prices the fuck
that's already cheaper than google πΉ
I'm not sure if those shops are legit as well
cause the DS3H is like $50 cheaper than the newegg, ebay and other online shops
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6700 XT
988$
better gpu
you can use the stock cooler OR get an aftermarket one if you have a leftover budget
I think you choose 5600 for the one you just posted
evga-ga 650w
that should be alright
that 450m is good? hmm
so many great reviews, hah
ok ty ty, so many options, I'll continue tomorrow
if you can squeeze in another 20-30$ you can get a much better board
if thats worth it, is up to you
the next best with aus prices is the aorus elite
whish isn't that much better sadly
ill look online and see if there is a b550 vrm tier list
ty ty
Sheet1
Motherboard Feature Set and General Use Tier List For Intel and AMD. Version .64 WIP
Tier List is NOT complete, double check the Motherboard's Specifications page. I'm always on a quest for knowledge, so if you find any errors or typos, or know something I missed about a Motherboard, let ...
^
use that and cross-reference it with your local prices
obviously the higher the tier the better
any for gpu/cpu as well? π€
you're looking at the b550, a520m and x570 boards
ok
that is only for motherboards
so go down the tier list and check the price of every motherboard that supports am4 and get the one that you can get for the best price , with a b-tier vrm or better
yes
I did not recommend x570 because its pricey
but if you can find one for cheap from that tier list then why not
It's getting into the territory where I rather spend more than researching πΉ
maybe I'll just pick up the stuffs that linked much earlier by you and Sarah
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/MyJMxs this? sounds good
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6700 XT
the motherboard is trash so if you can spend some time with that tier list
you would appreciate it
how about the 2nd link?
first ones better
2nd one is with US prices
not AUS
first is AUS prices
with the AUS market in mind rather
I think both link are AU, cause I know these online stores
the 2nd one got a green check on compatibility list however
I meant the AUS market in mind in terms of prices
just spend some time with the tier list and cross-check prices
to get a better mobo
alright, so better with 5600 yeah
cause small difference in performance and 50$ price difference
yes
I spent what I saved
on the gpu
6700xt
from the motherboard and memory as well
if you want a better than stock cooler
then get an ak500
or vetroo V5 if you are on a small budget
but stock should suffice for that 5600
do you have an SSD on your current system?
if not, buy one
yeah I have it
ahh ok
corsair vengeance and ripjaw difference?
why you picked vengeance the first time and ripjaw the 2nd?
I remember you said you are biased towards vengeance @real edge
price seems the same though
again, AUS market
oh ripjaw is better? ic ic
I made the first list with US part picker and chose based on US prices
yeah in AU, both ripjaw and vengeance has the same price
the one with the better gpu is with the AUS market and prices in mind
oh ic ic
you yourself know your country better than me
not the pc parts price difference π₯²
the only thing that is the red flag rn is motherboard which is why I told you to cross-check the tier list with your local market prices to see what b-tier or above vrm motherboard you can get for a reasonable price
from B520M, B550, B550M and X570 boards
for memory just stays with ripjaw yeah? i just googled and someone mentioned that it works with ryzen better
ok yeah I'll just pick up that 550m sd3hc
yeah just whatever 3600mhz, cl16/18 16GB kit is cheaper
this one is ok? that red compatibility list though https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/jpd9Ls
Part List - AMD Ryzen 5 5600, Radeon RX 6700 XT
price is over $1k but I can buy the GPU later πΉ
I'll stay with 1050 for now
I only need the CPU to run atm, performance improvement comes later π₯²
idd, cooler is a cheaper upgrade later
