I usually generate normally, send to img2img, and run these settings with the prompt trimmed down to only quality tags. For some reason it's it's getting stuck at the encoder stage right now though so I need to figure out what is going on with that.

Tiled VAE is basically useful for allowing generation at much higher resolutions than your VRAM could normally support since the VAE encode/decode step is generally the most vram intensive step.
