#Can we stop having horrible drop rates and bloat every update please?

Last update we had Organ with terrible drop rates and new weapons thrown into tales along with 50 other drops that come from them and Dewelion and Gathannan drop rates lowered from a decent farm to basically non existent.

Now we have again new gear with horrendous drop rates, i have done Mirifuir 18 times and have 0 new fragments, why are Grinn and Unsula even here?

Armour from shipwrecks you have to spend and hour and half running across the map to them for them to sometimes not even spawn in that location and then if they did not even drop a piece.

The boss in the Rovgot dungeon also has garbage drop rate on the new weapon, like 15 nettles per 1 frag for the new weapon i swear and funny enough thats the least offensive farm this update.

And don't even get me started on the new Shield, seems like it drops from 1 specific enemy that most of the time doesn't even spawn and when it does still have low chance to drop it, i have ran that dungeon so many time i have built the sword from the boss and have 13 more fragments of it even though it barely drops and i don't have a single fragment of the shield, easily over 100 runs.

I get that maybe you don't want people to finish the update right away, but there's a difference between that and straight up wasting my time to the point it doesn't even feel worth it to log in and try, its getting beyond a joke.

Honestly, yeah...
I'm still stuck at ER14 because the grind from time to time gets so frustrating i just quit it entirely

I'm glad the new weapon was guven as a quest reward, cause if i had to run those droprates for a chance to get it, i would've dropped it by now

-1 +1 I agree that the drop rate for Lyke Wake is pretty bad, but I do like rare drop rates like Avexo and Develionte. If everything drops too quickly, the game won’t even have more than 30 hours of content. It’s already enough that in Warframe, every three months a new update comes out and you can farm everything in like 2 hours. I want this to be different, something that actually gives me hours of gameplay and content to grind for a weapon or anything else.

Drop rates need to be upped on the obviously set low ones to get people to buy them. And then on top of that need something to do with the hundreds to thousands of duplicate fragments we have

I completely agree, but when the game was harder and dungeons had more objectives (making co-op more necessary) they buffed the player to the point it is now and completely shifted the focus away from dungeons. On top of that, the game is co-op but doesn’t encourage it at all, which makes things worse.

In Warframe, it’s basically just enclave farming 100% of the time because there’s no real endgame, the difficulty is practically nonexistent. And it looks like this game is heading in the same direction, so I’d rather at least have something to do.

I agree but not in this case, Mirifuir as an example has a 3hour cooldown and you need 6 new fragments from it, even without the needless bloat of Unsula and Grinn assuming you get a perfect 3 and 3 split, thats still 27hours of waiting, thats more than long enough, and i will die on the hill that drop rates shouldnt be balanced around co-op so i don't care you can technically do it 3 times (which i have been and still got nothing).

i also don't agree that somthing can be both rare and in the cash shop, if they want a crazy rare weapon like the new shield, im 100% fine with that if its not in the cash shop, otherwise it just defeats the purpose and instad just comes off as a underhanded money grab move

+1 Been trying to get the new mendicant weapons from the new dungeon and haven't had any luck getting fragments for the sword/shield thing, and my collection of Nettle fragments went from 3 to 20 while trying to get the new mendicant longsword

One more edit: I tried using Sirin's pickpocket passive to try and force some drops out of the guys in the dungeon for the new sword/shield and it doesn't even work on them apparently

How else are they going to entice sales under the guise of pre-Alpha, and how would they get more accurate reports of player limits, frustrations and bugs? Also, you think they are stupid after more than a decade of experience with rates from their other game?

I do not buy this whole, "They are our friends. Those poor devs" nonsense. This is a company that wants to make money, and just like any corporation, they want to make sure they benefit first before giving us anything. Sure, they can implement good systems here and there, but the end-game is still the same. Maybe smarter than the rest with their long-term thinking, but still is a business at the end of the day.

For now, we share our frustration and hope they slow it down a little just enough for us to tolerate it.

This has been a pretty weird trend on recent updates, they release really hard to obtain item(s) on patch 0 and then proceed to tune it to be more accessible, idk if it's a marketing thing to make us buy the items on the store or just someone forgetting about drop rates/sources, but I do ask, please DE, this kills* my mood to grind :/

Last patch I waited until the drop table fixes for the organs.

Even in a perfect scenario, you're looking at 12 hours for 4 total fragments, 2 for each weapon, not even considering losing coin flips or getting other fragments. Then you've got the crafting time, which I think for 2 star weapons is maybe 10 hours? I'm not super certain on the number, but the ballpark is like 20-25 hours ish, for both weapons. More like 15-16 if it was only one weapon. And that's if you somehow manage to bypass every layer of RNG. People can buy, play and finish a new video game in the time it takes for you to get 1 weapon in a live service pre-alpha.

The amount of grinding for certain weapons from the 30 minute agari timers already feels a little egregious (looking at you Dewelion) but I think it's extremely disrespectful to the player's time to lengthen that grind time so significantly by layering your fragment aquisition with rank-and-file weapon fragment bloat. I should not be having to do arguably the hardest content available outside of cogah just to get a sollos-1. My time investment should be respected.

There are 2 things missing from warframe we have today that would make the exact system we have now leagues better.

1 - bad luck protection A.K.A. pity. Pretty much every new content in warframe rn makes sure even if you get a bad roll, you're still working towards the item you want

2 - trading, which is sort of the first point from another lenz. If we could trade the less desireable fragments with other players for arcs, we'd be getting something every run that we can potentially turn into the finished item

The drops being wonky on release is kinda fine since I dont expect them to test things too much before they ship it since the game is in alpha, but I would really appreciate more communication.

I don't really like how we get radio silence on if they're aware of certain issues.

It would have been cool if they had posted something about Lyke-Wake on like Friday or something instead of just getting crickets.

It doesnt feel great and it leaves the floor open for people to speculate that its being done intentionally to push mtx. ( i dont personally think its intentional)

The espadarte grind is so stupid, Not even a S rank reward but an A Rank reward even though there is no way to get A rank? If you die once you get dropped to B rank, so what gives? If I get S rank I should get rewarded with more than one fragment, let alone a stupid Sollos or Rivt

I tested a few things, dying even once results in B rank and anything else involving not dying results in S rank, i tried killing only the mobs to break the conductor shields and leaving everything else alive and its still S, so im pretty sure A rank doesn't exist
